amazing customer service, a guy didnt get his name but he came over and talked to us gave us very good awareness off what we was doing helped us alot and a very lovely man didnt get his name but it was in uckfeild with a beard and glasses, had crutches but very apreciate how lovely he was!

The guy has a insane amount of knowledge to give! Weather it's boots (he will get the right boots for you just by looking at the bottom of your shoes)!!
Very pleasurable experience and when the team are as knowledgeable and pleasant to be around it's hard to not spend money and get outdoors!

Jack and Simon were utterly brilliant.
We?d got to our camp site only to realise the tent poles weren?t in the bag? (don?t ask!)
Jack and Simon were more than happy to help and built us bespoke tent poles for our 6 man tent which worked perfectly.
Their knowledge of bushcraft and survival was amazing, I think it?d be a great idea for them to have talks of an evening and talk about their experiences and share their knowledge.
Thank you both so much for your help, you saved the trip.

Stopped by the Uckfield branch today (29/6/24) for tent tape and spoke to a very knowledgeable assistant/manager (sorry that I didn't ask for your name) and he advised I used a dab of clear nail varnish on any pin holes, but when we'd got further into conversation and thinking it might be the old taping, he advised me about a product I'd bought to go over the taping in the outside and said that many use it on the inside (which is wrong).
I've yet to go over the tent taping seams (tomorrow's project) before setting out to a weekend of camping.
He'd advised that tents are good for about 4 years, but should get me by with my 15 year old tent as I seldom camp! ?
He also asked if I was a National Trust member, which I am, and suggested showing my card at check out.
I had a lovely, unexpected discount.
Massive kudos to the sales chap.

Edit: just managed to paint the outside seams and now waiting for it to dry. Only used up half a bottle and popped in the fridge (another piece of advice); but I'll take it to the festival I'm heading to in case anyone needs some ((and it's not currently raining!))

What I found was even though there were sales people , no-one tried to sell me anything. All were friendly and if I wanted help I could ask for it. They have a wide range of coats, which I could try on without being rushed. Lovely clean and tidy shop will be going back soon for my walking boots.

Can't praise the staff at Uckfield branch highly enough, especially Ben. A tent which we bought from Eastbourne branch had a broken pole on only it's second outing but the staff at Eastbourne were less than helpful. Ben was more than happy to help. Exchanged the damaged tent for a different one and we just had to pay the difference (less a bit of discount for inconvenience). And he also knew his stuff concerning the products. ?

I visited this store in February this year, looking for a pair of walking shoes, that would alleviate a painful foot condition. I had absolutely top-notch service from Simon. His knowledge of foot anatomy, and correct fitting , and his attention to detail were phenomenal. I?ve never experienced such caring attention when buying shoes before! I bought a pair, and am now able to walk in comfort at last! This man is a treasure! Make sure he never leaves! I have already recommended him to friends who have been as delighted as I was. Very happy customer!
