Stayed for a few nights. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating. Lovely old hotel. Lots of lovely art work for sale. The Spa isn't connected to the hotel, we didn't actually use it. The food was of a good standard, the breakfast was tasty. Would recommend it.Rooms: The room was nice, we were situated above the main entrance. Sash windows are not double glazed. But it was very warm and cosy.

Booked a night away to switch off and totally relax.Arrived at the hotel . And reception your girl said Hi. Not a warm welcome . After signing the registration card and my car details. Cc was given to be told you can now sign everything to your room account. So we went up to our spotless king room. No bathrobes in room. Phoned reception and requested two. They never arrived. So went to the multi gym next door. On arrival was told it?s £20 PP and deposit for hotel guests to use. The place is not exclusive to hotel guests and a private members club. Whilst trying to swim in the small pool we kept asking others to move as they all kept talking at each ends and not swimming to be told we are members here are you. No we are hotel guests . That fell on deaf ears. We had to wait to get into the sauna or steam room . And the outside hot tubs. There were no loungers to relax on at all just plastic chairs outside the sauna and only 4. So say it?s a spa sadly it?s not it?s a multi gym . We eventually got 15 mins in the hot tub outside to arrive back in for it to be absolutely packed with children doing swimming lessons. So we got out quickly. Not the relaxing aspect we desperately needed . Really disappointed. We booked Dinner as told we had to as fully booked. Not the case. We ordered our starters which were lovely. Our mains were a huge let down. My pork belly was more like belly fat. No crispy no flavour it was rubber. The monk fish was tiny in portion and came with two broccoli stems 3 small carrots and 3 very small boiled potatoes. Shocking. I asked twice for a different sauce and dislike hollandaise. It never came. So I ate my dry meal. And then the girl asked how was our food we both said very disappointing as no sauce. She blamed the chef !! So we said no desserts . Went to the bar for a cocktail treat and we were give two cocktail glasses half full . We were like is this for real. Whilst the boy chatted to another guest watching the foot ball on a large TV, we were like it?s meant to be a spa hotel as it?s sold. Not a sports bar. No relaxing big sofas no soft music. No atmosphere. We both felt extremely let down. Breakfast . There was Absolutely no delicious choice of continental. No hans. No cheeses. No lovely breads . It was minimal choice . No luxury yogurts no delicious fruits to enjoy. Our cooked was ordered but sadly the older lady did not write the orders down and it was a mix up or wrong food going out. She needs to write these down . My bacon had a strange taste to it so did the black pudding. So they were left and the hash brown were saturated in fat on the plate. We wanted a spa break but did not receive this sadly. The only big plus was the rooms were huge. King beds and absolutely spotless . We both felt badly letdown . And the rear gardens are stunningRooms: Huge big king rooms. Well stocked with everything and spotless . No bathrobes but everything else that you needed. Hair dryer. Tea/ coffee. Iron and board. Elemis bathroom products. Big towels. And very clean .

CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHT for our business colleagues. Bitterly disappointed with everything. Venue was totally overcrowded. Service was poor. Food was appalling, ranging from poor quality to inedible and stone cold. A google search for HMP prison food shows that you are better off eating in a prison!A rip off. Don't bother going. Thanks for nothing Duncan Bannatyne and staff.

Spa and other health club activities are great. The swimming pool was closed during our stay and that was not good news for kids as we got to know that after complete non refundable booking. The overall experience was good. #AngeReviewNearby activities: Spa and other health club activities are great. Booked an hour long hot lava shell massage by one of the many "Managers" for my wife and myself at the club, the day before received a reminder of appt and a health declaration form, completed form and submitted it. Arrived on the day for the treatment, got changed and went into spa and after a 10 minute wait, was told by the girl who was to carry out the treatment that she wasn't qualified to do the hot shell treatment!!! Totally unprofessional and awful service, complete waste of time and I wouldn't waste your time or money booking up as you probably won't get what you paid for. RIP OFF!

Unfortunately, our massage experience at the hotel spa was extremely underwhelming. 30 minute massage turned into 15 mins, delivered by staff who looked like they'd rather be elsewhere. Overall, very disappointed in the value here, and hoping they can take this feedback on board.

The hotel is a short drive, around 15 minutes, from the sea front and Hastings Town centre, hotel is set in lovely quiet well kept grounds and so for an active (on site spa, pool and well equipped leisure centre) and/or quiet weekend away is perfect, good for weddings and functions too. We enjoyed our stay, service was very good and helpful staff. The food was great. We got upgraded to a larger suite, which was very comfortable, well kitted out, and spacious, as you can see, all in a fantastic building. The spa facilities were also top-notch. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Lovely hotel. Travelling here on business, and hotels are so much better than the usual corporates. Check in was nice and easy. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped.Had dinner here and the menu was varied, my meal was good quality and well cooked.A nice stay, would use again if in the area.

Went for an overnight stay. The room was good , great size and well appointed. Small things let it down. Light in cupboard did not properly switch off. Needed a boot up against the door to keep the light off ( I like the dark at night) . Mixer tap on the nice shower was on scald. So shower was essentially unusable, shame. Nice bath.Bar area was opened up to residents when we returned from evening out. Noticed a large black rat in the bar area. Not a resident I think.Good breakfast - buffet, let down by milk jugs that were thimbles. Everything else was generous portions, so why these?

We booked this spa hotel for 2 nights, be careful when booking if you don't book directly with the hotel you will have to pay £20 per person to use the swimming pool and sauna. The other thing is you have to leave the hotel to use the spa, it's in the leisure centre next door. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good. The dinner was terrible, we couldn't eat it, I wanted the fish but they run out they also run out of merlot wine aswell unless I brought a bottle, so had duck with what tasted like a bucket of salt. The dining room was very tired looking and in need of a revamp. the staff was great and only charged for the starter and drinks which we had.I think this is more an events hotel, needs decorating and good chef. The location is great the outside of the building looks great aswell but the rest is in need of attention.

Outstanding food and service for a vegan Sunday roast with all the trimmings! We had two courses for £20.95 sat overlooking their beautiful gardens. They ordered in the vBites Beeph and Turkey-style roasts for us (ask in advance), plus they offer a nut roast. The soup and desserts were incredible too.All the team - from Dani, the Deputy General Manager, to Mackenzie and co. - who looked after us were brilliant and went the extra mile to welcome us. Thanks all. We'll be back! ????Food & drinks: A feast!
