We had a lovely dinner this evening at the pub. Claire was incredibly helpful and polite behind the bar and serving us. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, we will be back soon!

Came here for a birthday meal with my other half.
Great menu and burgers to die for. She had the fish dish which came in a delightful sauce.
Nice staff, good beer, good food. What more could you ask for.

First visit to the Halt, lovely pub and we're able to sit outside as the weather was gorgeous. Really lovely setting and well thought out. Unfortunately, there were some children who were very much left to their own devices, whilst the parent had some 'adult time' and they were quite vocal, not the pubs fault, just wish parents would be a bit respectful to other diners and have some control over their children's ventures! The pizzas were Lovely, we also ordered some loaded fries which were outrageously good, just wish they had arrived with the pizza and not after we had eaten it! Wasn't overly impressed with the dessert I chose and I mentioned to the waitress that the cream needed checking as it had a twang, and whilst she had been very attentive and lovely throughout service, this wasn't addressed at all which was a little disappointing. Overall , a pleasant experience and if you try anything, make sure its the cheeseburger loaded fries!

Despite it taking a little while to grab the batman's attention to order a drink, the subsequent experience was spot on. Good food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

One of my favourite pubs in the area for years. The vines and the garden are spectacular. The village is completely unspoilt and authentic. Harveys on tap !

Visited this pub last week, the food was amazing, all cooked from scratch?. We sat outside and it was the perfect little sun trap! Service was amazing, staff go above and beyond! Will definitely be retuning.

Booked for Sunday lunch and due to the size of our group (11) we were given a room upstairs that had a lovely decor. We were well looked after by the team and especially Henry, who was brilliant. The food was spot on with a variety of options beyond the Sunday roast options. Highlights included the Korean bbq pork fries, the calamari, for starters, which were all delicious. The majority of us had the slow roast lamb (locally sourced), and we all agreed it was tender and delicious with good portions. This was served with roast potatoes, a delicious Parsnips puree, a selection of veg (red and green cabbage, carrots, tenderstem broccoli). The only thing missing was a Yorkshire pudding! Good beer and wine selection and all reasonably priced. We had the Chateau Curton la Perriere, which had a delightfully rounded berry / oak flavour with good length on the palate. The desserts went down well - especially the sticky toffee pudding with custard and the two tortes, which all came with a honeycomb twist.
