It's a gem. Like going back in time (only went to the pub/ bar). These days, it's makes such a welcome change to be able to chat to the landlord or the staff over a pint. I also like the decor, so many places are just clinical now. I just found this place so refreshing, we'll definitely be back!

Popped in for lunch today, bit apprehensive as road closed & didn't look open but greeted warmly by barmaid & friendly locals. Pub is very old fashioned but somehow adds to the charm, garden lovely on a hot day & couldn't fault the food. Basic pub grub but tasty & reasonable & a good pint. A good experience & would love to try the rooms in such an old building.

A wonderful piece of nostalgia just a stones throw from Robertsbridge station. When approaching this place, I was thinking it could do with a bit of TLC, but upon leaving, I think it just adds to the overall other worldly feel of the place - this is NOT a run down pub. Go inside and it feels like, I don't know, 1930s? It's lovely. So much character. There are two drinking areas around the bar (an old lounge maybe) all done in brown wood panelling with the requisite pictures. The staff were truly lovely: friendly and welcoming. The Guinness was excellent as was the Sussex Best Bitter. One word of caution for those gentlemen with a delicate disposition is to be wary of the decor of the men's toilets. I won't say more than that.

A great find for a Sunday lunch with friends. Excellent friendly service and a variety of options for all. It also has free parking. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Will return again next year.
Food & drinks: We were spoilt for choice, with the usual lamb, beef, pork, chicken plus three vegetarian options and fish. We all chose something different and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were eight vegetables (cooked to perfection) on our plates, with generous portions. When the chef came to check whether everything was okay we had smiles on our faces and empty plates.

Situated a little away from the older main robertsbridge high street, this charmingly faded Victorian pub with flock curtains, high ceilings and walls covered with gilt framed paintings is worth a visit. Had a very tasty croque monsieur with very good strong cheese and a thick slice of ham, well seasoned with black pepper. Friendly local atmosphere.

Best value for money in Mount Hagen. 150 kina for 1 room with 2 double beds! The place is quiet, away from the city. Michael, the owner, will help you as much as possible. It offers free pickups and dropoffs from the airport and to Mount Hagen (so for the festival too). The people in the surrounding village are very warm. There are tea plantations, you can walk there. At the guesthouse, you can cook food.Water in the showers.Fridge in the room.No wifi and average network.cockroaches in the room! But we get used to it.
