I don't normally write reviews because most dining experiences are pleasant but our visit to the WOK INN last night was definitely the WORST Chinese meal we have ever had!
Very offhand, disinterested welcome on arrival.
Food was insipid - stodgy rice, tasteless vegetables, roast duck in orange sauce was tough and chewy, the chicken in sweet sour sauce was covered in a thick, rubbery batter.
Waiting staff, all dressed in black, silently gliding around reminded my daughter of gcse exam invigilators !
And the cherry on the cake was the ghastly, monotonous muzak which eerily filled the room.
A very depressing father's day meal which slowly reduced our whole party to silence!!
We won't be going back!!!

Good authentic Chinese food, although can be variable in quality

Disaponting and gonedownhill somewhat.
Food was very staggered and slow to arrive , leaving people with cold food waiting for completion of the plate and some with empty plates.
Very basic hot and sour soup although tasty only one prawn a d one tofu piece found in it .
Varying levels of very small potions.
Had to chase items and also service was not particularly attentive.
Did not feel the ten pound service charge was warrented despite the slow service and very small portions.
When reasoning was fed back was barked at and told its lunch ..obviously well aware of that but have visited enough to realise it was a poor experience for the customer.
Deserts where small also lunch menu but no ice cream offered with their toffied fruit ..
All very very tight and customer service was certainly lacking !
If a restaurant fails to respond to customer feedback,they risk becoming out of touch and relying on quantity of visitors.
All businesses need return custom and regaular good experiences.
I hope this restaurant can get back to where it once was .

I?m really disappointed I am giving this restaurant 1 star because I had high hopes for this place, nice rural location which could be a really lovely restaurant.
We have been here twice (hoping we would have a better experience on the second time) for the ?all you can eat? menu. On both occasions we felt extremely uncomfortable, the male manager asked my children for ID incase they needed to pay for an adult meal (my children are 5 & 8!) and then when we ordered they told us to stop ordering because we won?t eat it! And then whilst we were eating we had 3 staff members watching us the entire time!
Male manager very rude with no personality. Such a shame but we won?t be returning.

A very nice, good value fixed-price lunch menu, with an enjoyable choice of dishes. The a la carte menu also looks delicious. Parking is easy, and the staff friendly and helpful.
