Called in on our way home for a quick bite and was the worst meal we've ever eaten.
Atmosphere was dreadful with large, drunk family being loud.
Chicken burgers was so crispy and dry, that was tasteless. 2 burgers, mac & cheese, one drink and a fruit shoot nearly £50!! Hardly any salad at the salad bar, just bread rolls and a couple of bits to pick from.
Truly awful meal and crowd.

The outside of the building and the garden seating area look very run down and tatty The portions are small. The offering on salad bar looked very tired

Absolutely loved my visit to Harvester in Polegate. The food was great, but the real highlight was our waitress Kat - friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing. She made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and her smile really brightened the evening. Definitely will be back

Great place to eat. Staff extremely friendly knowledgeable about their menu and helpful. Lana redefines 'service with a smile' with her wit! Nice to sit outdoors in good weather. Salad bar has always been lovely.

8.30pm Menu my choice? Salad only.
I was handed a very large curved plate which could not have been filled from what was on offer, even if I had wanted to.
£6.99p helped myself to near empty ?buckets? of sad so called salad, Lettuce was found and made its late entry when requested. Small bread rolls were dull and doughy.
No cheese, fish, egg.
My guest had a Burger (it looked a bit dried out) and chips.
Extremely noisy environment, and yes it was quite busy.
With refill cola, and insipid PG tips Tea bill came to a few pence under £30.
Staff helpful and pleasant.

Food was good. They got the order wrong, but quickly resolved it.
We sat outside as we had a dog. The dog wasn't allowed in the bar, like other Harvesters. The outside area had 1000's of cigarette butt's on the floor. Plus broken plastic and used straws. We had to keep our dog away from the rubbish. The outside was filthy and needs attention.
We won't be returning.

We got here at 16.50 we had a little dog so had to sit outside even though harvester at eastbourne marina let's dogs in to pub area. The lady gave us 2 menus the one for lunch that finishes at 16.00. We asked could we still have this she said yes even though it was nearly 17.00. When we went to order another staff member was very rude telling us we couldn't but in the end they did. She nearly threw condiments box at my wife and was very horrible really. The lady bringing the food out was very nice though. The outside area is not very pleasant very dirty. But we had to sit there because of dog.
We do normally love going to harvester as my wife likes the salad bar. But today was not good at all. And we spent £80.
So wasn't a cheap meal.

Food was ok. My steak was supposed to be med-rare got served rare, asked for it to go back on the grill,came back barely med-rare just a bit hotter. Everone else's food was ok. The salad cart wasn't as full as it could have been. Only see the salad guy come out once to fill the beetroot and nothing else and everything was low. Didn't bother with dessert. Staff were really good though. Only reason why the rateing is so high.

I had the gammon and it was tender and juicy and perfectly cooked. The salad was Fresh. It was not very busy so service was quick and the young lady who served us was polite and attentive and very welcoming. The only thing that prevented a five-star review what's the fact that most of the mains seemed a bit overpriced but if you join their loyalty scheme you can get reduced prices.
