Came here with my partner for lunch
My partner ordered scones, jam and cream and I ordered a cheese baguette sandwich with salt, pepper and mayonnaise
I was charged £9 and afterwards felt like I was not charged correctly and found she didn?t even take my partners order and only charged me for the baguette?
Paid an additional £17 for 3 scones and jam, £17!!!!!
When my baguette came it was in brown sliced bread, no pepper or salt and mayonnaise was served in a separate plate with a spoon!! What on earth!! Why would you not put the mayonnaise INSIDE the sandwich? My partner ended up leaving because no one brought his scones he ordered and he was getting annoyed with all the wrong doings - and I dislike brown sliced bread and I specifically asked for a baguette so I didn?t eat it. I then found out she charged us £17 because it was £6.50 x3 which includes tea
We didn?t get any tea we only asked for scones
I left with no sandwich, scones were binned because she put them all in the same bag as the jam cream and butter so it was a mess by the time we got home
Honestly felt like I was served by people who didn?t know what they were doing in all my 30 years I?ve never had a sandwich with mayonnaise served separately with a spoon!
Weird service and weird experience will never go here again

I actually said ?can I have a cheese sandwich, like in a baguette? and she said yes.
I asked for mayo salt and pepper inside, if you serve it separately then why not say?
Why would I have an ulterior motive for a tea shop?!
You didn?t address why the waitress didn?t take my partners order down for the scones and jam despite him saying it?
You say we ordered orange juice instead (we ordered them separately and they were never given to us anyway)
I never asked for the money back - hence why I declined it. After all that, £8 back in coins was hardly going to fix anything.

Went to tea rooms today had quiche salad chutney boiled potatoes ,always have a lovely lunch nicely presented and lovely staff always praise them been here many years thanks.

Lovely café near Abbot's Wood. Only had cake and tea but would recommend - great selection of cakes, friendly staff, lovely location and has plants for sale and guinea pigs. All the food coming out looked great.

Such a gorgeous place to spend time at and eat delicious home cooked food. I've tried the quiche and salad, both delicious as are the sweet treats, scones and cakes. The café is set in a gorgeous garden , surrounded by nature, with 2 very interesting shops to mooch around. 1 is a crystal and armour shop, the other a shop selling all sorts of second hand random bits. The café prices are also really decent.

Unfortunately the owner of this business seems to think it is acceptable to keep a parrot in a tiny cage for what I can only assume is 'customer entertainment'. To keep this bird confined like you do in such a small space is cruel, what kind of a life does it have in there. Please have a look at your morals and do the right thing by giving this intelligent, beautiful creature a better home.
