I thought I knew what truly exceptional Indian food tasted like?I?ve sampled dozens of spots over the years. But discovering Raipur completely redefined my standards. Hands down, this is the best Indian cuisine I?ve had in recent memory, and unquestionably the top around Eastbourne (it?s actually in Pevensey, just a quick 5-minute drive from Sovereign Harbour). The flavors are bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced every time. Plus, they offer a 20% discount for cash payments, making it even better value. I?ve been ordering online and picking up weekly for the past two months, and each order leaves me more impressed and satisfied. If you?re after outstanding Indian food, Raipur is a must-try!

First time here, I opted for the chicken Tava with peshwari rice, along with chicken and chilli naan.
Everything was very fresh and flavoursome! Will return!

Really disappointed tonight.
Normally absolutely beautiful but tonight the meat was so fatty & chewy.
To be honest the only thing that was ok was the onion bjargi & nan bread.
Potatoes were half & half & i suppose the rice was okish.
Really upset as will have to find another indian.

WoW had a Vindaloo and all the trimmings,and I can honestly say that it was the best curry I've ever had in Eastbourne.
Will definitely be going in for a sit down meal very soon.
Update: been in for a sit down meal.
Can honestly say that the food was top notch along with the fantastic service, whilst sitting in a nice contemporary surroundings.

On a short mini break to the area but had to visit this amazing restaurant twice during our stay. Incredibly delicious food, friendly professional service with that extra eye to detail. Possibly the best Indian food I tasted.

Kindly accommodated a family of 5 and baby last minute on a Saturday night despite the majority of tables being reserved. Provided us with a high chair for baby.
Very modern with staff taking orders on a tablet, something you don't even see in London.
Decor and ambience very good.
The restaurant was extremely busy, which is always a good sign, especially in such a secluded and quiet part of the country.
Poppadoms presented very well with sauce serving size being very large.
Presentation of all food being very good.
Went for a lamb shank house special dish for a main. Gteat presentation once again. Taste was wonderful & meat was tender but got a cardamom pod or a slice of cassia in every mouthfull which became frustrating.

Very well presented selection of food. Reasonably priced. Particularly nice poppadoms for eat-in customers which were a fluted shape with a very light texture. Highly recommend.

Having dined in the main restaurant and had takeaways before, all being excellent, last night's takeaway was terrible and the worst we have ever had, so not sure what went wrong.
I turned up 10 mins before the allocated time hoping that the food was to be hot, when we got home, (Less than 5 mins away) we found that the all the food was lukewarm only, and the Naan bread was cold. The food was definitely not cooked fresh as the onion bhajis were soft and rubbery nothing like they should have been, the Chicken masala was large chunks of chicken, overcooked and chewy, the chicken Tikka was again overcooked and rubbery, the sag aloo was swimming in oil/butter, again not like we have had before. I feel that most of the food had been cooked the day before and just reheated, very disappointed.
