Very expensive for what it is I thought, I felt like we were being watched alot whilst we ate, although the staff were friendly, we felt we were being told what we wanted and what was enough.. perhaps to help I'm not sure but I think if you're paying £30 per person at an all you can eat establishment then you should be literally allowed to order all you can eat.. the food come out really fast in which I feel it was most likely reheated and the chicken dishes were pretty dry, alot of batter to bulk out dishes used.

Staff friendly and efficient. The food is not like any Thai food I have ever eaten. Thai is meant to be fresh and vibrant. The pad Thai was bland and all I could taste was oil. The sweet and sour crispy chicken I would avoid at all costs. Personally not for me and I have had a few mouthfuls and thrown away. I love Thai food and this is so far from what I would expect.

I love Thai food and was very excited to see the Thai Elephant was near to where I was staying for the weekend but other than the soup ?Tom Yum? which was tasty and the plain steamed rice, the rest of the food was not good.
I have never seen a ?white coloured? Thai green curry before and the taste matched the colour, flavourless and bland. The chicken was the rubbery type of chicken that almost feels fake. There was an absence of green apart from some peas, bamboo shoots and a thick white sauce.
The red curry had the same chicken, same consistency and unfortunately also lacked flavour.
The me goreng (Malaysian noodles) dish was sadly overcooked.
The soup however was very good, it was fresh, tangy, spicy and tasty and is the reason why I give 3 stars.

The table service is efficient, matter of fact and punctual but not warm, welcoming and friendly. The menu is extensive and the food is good with good portion sizes for an all you can eat venue. The restaurant is not particularly well themed one half being modern and the other a mock Jocobean experience. Annoyingly when you order more than one set of starters from the menu you keep the same used plate. Previously I went to eat here and had to leave before ordering as it was so cold in the restaurant, but the heating is rarely on or is not working as there was a gas bottle type heater in use, I think they rely on the number of occupants dining and their body heat to heat the dining area. They win the award for the most expensive bottle of beer I have ever purchased at £9.60 a bottle! Same size at Sainsburys £2.55!

All you can eat buffet was expensive and meat was horrible. The food came out in minutes and was super hot so clearly microwaved. Had bad stomach all night.wouldnt recommend.

Love love LOVE this place. Incredible and varied menu. Lots of things to enjoy that are tasty, moreish and utterly delicious.
Service is so friendly and helpful.
If you get here early, then the room can be a little cold in the winter before the heating kicks in, but that's the only moan.
We keep coming back because everything is so good!

Went to celebrate a family members birthday tonight and it was outstanding. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, especially with my nephew who only wanted a started and dessert. The food was delicious (the pandan Kai is a firm favourite) and I love that you can order as much or as little as you like. A fantastic way to try new dishes. Everyone on our table agreed on how lovely it was. Thankyou again. Can?t wait to come back

I found I hair in my food the chicken was not cooked and we only got a starter meal we didn?t eat most of anything and the bill came up to £75 just for 2 people

I enjoyed the Thai Elephant 2 experience last night (17th February 2025) with my partner, and we both cannot fault the food, the service or the price. There is No service charge and you are able to order as much as you want of any of the items listed on the menu. Came away satiated, comfortable and with a shared knowledge that we will be returning in the near future. Well done Thai Elephant 2 !

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down one of the most unhygienic dining experiences I?ve ever had.
First, I found a hair floating in my beer?disgusting. They replaced it on the house, which was the bare minimum. I tried to brush it off and enjoy my meal, which was just okay at best.
Then came dessert? and the final straw. A long hair was melted in my ice cream. At this point, my appetite was completely gone. They offered a replacement, but honestly, who would want more after that? I just asked for the bill.
When I politely mentioned the two hairs in my food and requested a discount, they grudgingly knocked off a measly 10%. Not exactly a goodwill gesture. Feeling unsatisfied, I later called back to express my disappointment, only to be told they "didn?t want a customer like me" and that the hairs somehow weren?t theirs?as if I planted them myself?!
Absolutely appalling attitude and even worse hygiene. Safe to say, I won?t be back. Ever.

Service always excellent and food is amazing with very large selection to choose from. Sean is always amazing and always makes us feel special. Have been coming here for over 30 years and never been disappointed. Love this place.

Although buffet style food. Ordered and it will be delivered for a fixed fee. Only one plate (2 pieces) of pandai kai served for a table of 2 people. And only one aromatic duck for two. We can't order more!
So, although its meant to be 'Eat as much as you can', some food is restricted.
Secondly, half the menu is starters. And most if not all is battered. Heavy crisp batter neither healthy nor tasty.
Main meal was better when ordered.
It wasn't like this. Over the years and decades prices have doubled but quality of food (mainly starters) is no good.
On top of that, there is an additional service charge of 10% without my asking or permission.
I'm not sure I want to go again.
Too pricey and food is not as good and restricted. Sorry.
