I love the Loggia Cafe at Great Dixter House & Gardens. The food is utterly delicious and an imaginative, fresh and refreshing change from the standard offer at such heritage attractions? cafes. Care and attention is clearly taken here and the friendly staff are efficient and polite. Expect a queue at busy times as they have limited space within which to do what they do, but it?s always worth the wait. You can then choose a table in the fabulous outdoor setting - some covered, some under the sun, some under a tree in a shady corner. For food and an ambience of this quality, the prices are also excellent value for money.Vegetarian options: There are always vegetarian options, although ?option? almost undervalues the food since I rather feel you are offered imaginative dishes, some of which just happen to be vegetarian.

On each of our numerous visits to Great Dixter we stop at this lovely cafe. There are fantastic homemade cakes and the best tea far and wide. This is freshly brewed and served in beautiful teapots. The food is also highly recommended, there are light dishes from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. with excellent salad and homemade chutney. Highly recommend Ploughman with local cheese. The staff is very friendly and always ready for a little chat.

Ok so I went a little off piste today and opted for the artichoke hummus with warm bread plus a plate of the Dixter salad- good choice all round!! Been a few times before and enjoyed much delicious cake and the thing that?s not quite a quiche with yummy pickles and salad, but today?s combination was fab!! Always a pleasure, the staff are lovely, and where else can you enjoy mega fresh food sitting happily under a living roof? A fabulous addition to beautiful gardens, thanks all at Great Dixter! Excellent cafe the teas tasted amazing as well as the scones with amazing homemade jamThe cakes were also delicious it is obvious that who ever manages this place pays a lot of attention on details and quality. A very pleasant experience for sure
