We love the Ark, perfectly situated opposite the river. Lovely atmosphere, staff are always friendly. Music is usually on which we love. They occasionally have events too which are wonderful for all the family. We had our engagement party here and Maxine was more than happy to help us out. The pizzas are super yummy! Always return, we love our little local.

Delivering in local area, parked up for night 10 min walk came across this little gem, lovely view sitting outside, food delicious and staff were so friendly and welcoming , if in local area again will definitely revisit.

If eating outside, watch for the seaguls!! Very local place with local people. All good fun. Nice place for a couple of beers before boarding the ferry to France.

We ordered two fish and chips and a margarita pizza, instead was brought three portions of fish and chips. When we told the waitress/barmaid, she was rude and snapped that we had ordered three portions of fish, she didn?t offer to change it, and didn?t seem sympathetic that she had entered the wrong food for the kitchen. Fish was oily. wouldn?t come back here.

we ordered the fish and chips and burger and chips the chip were undercooked the gardens pea were hard.The batter on the fish was very oily and also could of been cooked for longer, sachets tartar sauce didnt taste nice.when placing the order the cook tutted and rolled her eyes because she was given a order to make,there was a phone call made for a group of people to book for a meal when ask the cook if that?s okay she done the same rolled her eyes and said I suppose this is not professional infront of guests if she doesn?t want to cook food there shouldn?t be a food menu on offer, the fish has left me with a bad stomach and I will not be returning.

Sehr gemütlicher Pub mit familiärer Atmosphäre. Terrasse mit Blick auf den Hafen. Essen und Getränke sind sehr gut. Ich habe meine Brille liegengelassen, und die Chefin hat sie mir sofort nach Deutschland geschickt. Wir mussten die Fähre erreichen und konnten deshalb nicht noch einmal zum Lokal fahren. Selten so ein Entgegenkommen erlebt, ein extra Stern dafür!

Had a lovely greeting from the lady behind the bar who was nice & friendly & we'll advised with the menu.
A lot of homemade food available which is always better than pinged food.

Popped in for a bite to eat before catching the ferry. Arrived to find that the kitchen had closed about an hour beforehand, it was Sunday evening. However the lady working the bar (didn't catch her name but has a daughter named Savannah) was amazing. Rustled us up a couple of plates of chilli which hit the spot nicely. Very friendly atmosphere and will definitely use again if we are ever in the area. Thanks for the hospitality.

Came here for lunch with the partner. Both had prawn sandwichs with salad and chips with a pint each. Came to just over £30.00 which ain't bad. Service was quick and easy.
