Just been to the store for a loaf of bread and bottle of wine , the young chap serving me was cashing out a collection delivery and he said nxt till , so I put the goods in the area for scanning he grabbed the stuff up without any dialogue of hello , I enquired if he was alright he said yes with a deadly scare and he looked very aggressive and was starring very intimidatingly at me ; I said why are you looking like that at me , he said because I was was looking at him I said I was waiting for some dialogue like hello or thank you , he said I should go somewhere else. Not what I expect from a Co op service; I actually thought he might come after me, and felt quite scared. I suggest you look at your method of employment and employ nicer friendlier staff I will not be shopping at your store again. Check your cctv the incident took place at 7.45 pm Monday 9 .6 25

This store was shut this morning the delivery guy told me and it has been closed early other times if it?s hard to keep the staff surely head office need to come down and find out why most people rely on shops like this as we don?t always want to go into the town to the bigger stores just for one thing

Poorly run store. The Manager, Jason, who was there on 25th Jan 2023 at 6pm was totally useless and didnt care about my issue. I explained to him that I had placed an UberEats order with Fort Rd store, and that I had paid for said Uber Eats order, and that it was never delivered. I understand how UberEats work (pretty useless with refunding) but I would have thought the local store mgr would have cared if a local customer who spent money on a large order of treats, sweets etc had a problem with UberEats, and I would have thought Jason would have wanted to know the name of the driver in question, so he could check if that person was stealing from Co-op or Coop's customers. Total disinterest and refused to take the name or description. I wont be ordering from Fort Road store anymore. I would suggest anyone else using Ubereats does not order from Fort Rd either. The store in Peacehaven are much better. Jason, you had a chance to resolve my issue. You werent interested in doing anything about this, didnt want to take my phone number to resolve the issue, and now you got your store a bad review on Google. Reconsider your stance in future. I went to collect a parcel and was turned away as they didn't have the staff to serve me. What sort of customer service is that! Staff member did apologise though. Not happy...will have to return to collect but I don't exactly live round the corner. Wasted trip!

Friendly, cheerful, helpful staff and usually well-stocked. Very convenient for this corner of town and in a really spectacular building (once rented by the man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo...really.)
