Twice we have tried to have dinner and both times turned away. You can clearly see the restaurant has tables free so I presume it is down to not enough staff each time.

Arrived at 1pm for lunch, waited 20mins to get to the bar to order lunch,just1 person taking lunch orders and serving drinks,its took 1 long hour until our food arrived at the table, hats off to the 2 staff that was doing all the work on a very busy day,.Needs more staff ASAP.

Staff extremely rude. They advertise a Sunday carvery 12-6pm. My partner and I went there at 5.05pm and was told that the carvery was finished. We could visibly see that there was lots left on the hot plate. We was told that "we wouldn't want that" while the chef was plating up the left overs for the staff. Fair enough if there are left overs at 6pm the staff should help themselves but not 55 minutes before they advertise. When my partner and I was having a private discussion about how dissatisfied we were a bar lady Beth rudely butted into our conversation to state "if its all gone it's all gone. It wasn't gone as we could see it. Beth is rude and unprofessional. It's cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for but some (not all) of the staff are just rude. I would not recommend going there. The toilets are disgusting also. Very disappointed.

Iv been here before and must say how bad the service is at the bar ,It's almost as if your not there staff just walk pass you ,The bar was really quiet I understand why the ,The manager need to do their job better

Ordered food and waited an hour. Watched guests arrive after me and be served, finish and leave before I received my food. Ticket mismanagement, terrible service from the kitchen.

This restaurant has the nicest staff we have come across for years ! Nothing was too much trouble for us. The food was gorgeous.
Parking: Three hours free unless you are staying in hotel.

First night here so decided to have a meal close the hotel as the menus are very inviting.
Paid £50 for two adults and one child, but the food was awful, steak overcooked and other food not cooked and cold. Started to wait the check back to raise the issue but no one came so I had to get the dish back myself, finished to ?eat? I took my little one to the toilet, and oh my god forgive them because a venue with kids indoor play area with that toilet, is a disgrace! Even my 4years old son refused to do anything in there.
Went back to the table waiting a child dessert ordered in advance, and again I had to walk across the pub to ask for it, in fact other tables to clear but nobody seems to care?
Let?s hope that is one off bad evening as we are staying at the hotel next door, but I will definitely try to avoid it.

It's good. Better menu than the peacehaven carvery. Although wait times for food could be better. Wasn't exactly busy, 40 mins for food. Steak over done, lots of black char from grill on chicken breast. Otherwise good. £16 mixed grill. Other dishes in the region of £12.
Parking: The parking is bizarre almost intended to catch people out without registering with the ANPR. Although the car park is small, it's difficult not to miss the huge Sainsbury's car park next door.

Ok firstly the lady manager from Birmingham was great ,helpful and apologetic ?
The food is the one and only reason for the complaint ,maybe it was not the food ingredients fault ,the person who should be embarrassed is the person in the kitchen that had the nerve to put the dried hard mushy peas so dry that if you add water you could use to plaster the walls in the toilet, the fish again was soooooo overcooked and dry so dry that it looked sad ?..anyway to the cook who put this food on the plate should hang there head low ??..don?t forget some people eat here on special occasions ,so take the criticism and make the first and last meal special ?
