Very friendly greeting on arrival by the bar lady and also the locals. It is a lovely old pub with a real cosy feeling. I ordered the chicken burger with fries and coleslaw, it was delicious and if I ever returned would definitely have it again. Randomly stopped at this pub for lunch in between Christmas and new year and was blown away by the service, food, location and ambience of this fantastic pub. Well done guys. Sadly I find this kind of genuinely warm and welcoming service harder and harder to come by. We will be back.
