I visited today, and there was a young girl who gave me a book rec and I just wanted to say that she was so nice!

This charming Waterstones has such a homely, cosy and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for spending relaxed hours browsing, especially when Lewes turns cold during my visits.

Went bookshopping with my Daughter-in-Law in this lovely store. It must have been a private house, as it's made up of lots of rooms - very bookish!!

Absolutely wonderful, people focussed bookshop. This is why I should shop less on Amazon and more in person. The lady serving us (Emma) was so kind. We were traipsing the high street on a busy Saturday looking for somewhere to breastfeed my 3month old baby. Everywhere was heaving and we caught a glimpse of tables in Waterstones so stepped inside and ordered two coffees so I could sit and feed. The lady bought them over and then came back with a glass of water for me, unasked. Simply saying ?I remember those days? with a smile. Such a kind gesture which really put me at ease. It can be difficult breastfeeding in public and as a first time mum and she made me feel so safe in my choice. We even got two more coffees and a book to support the shop for how kind they were. Thank you so much Emma and the team!

Several rooms full of books and games etc. There's some seating and a counter serving tea & coffee. I do like coming in here for the calm and a browse. Usually leaving with a new and inspiring book to devour.
