I attended a collage workshop delivered by Hadley Paper Goods as an early Christmas present. Everything was set up for our arrival, Milly, the shop owner was friendly and welcoming and put me right at ease. It was a really interesting workshop, well explained and thoughtfully put together by Jo, the teacher. I felt empowered to explore techniques and themes without judgement. I really immersed myself into the project and was super pleased with the result. It?s a lovely space to lose yourself for a day, doing something creative. Highly recommended!

Wow I'm addicted to the hand made natural aromatherapy candles and the Stag & Seer intention oils, which contain aromatherapy oils, flowers and crystals in a small roller ball bottle for temples. It's always a fab shopping experience. Great for gifts to both loved ones and indeed yourself! Milly is so lovely, welcoming and helpful. There's lots of things from candles to bags to jewellery. When you need a gift or just some retail therapy this is the place to find things that make you feel good.

Really kind shop owner. Made a mistake with a perfume I bought for a Xmas present and she got more in stock especially for me. Came back and got what I wanted, no fuss. Also, great incense smells in the shop!

Lovely cafe in the Needlemakers. Pleasant staff with a little touch that went beyond our expectations. Well worth a visit.

One of the best shops in lewes! As soon as I walked in the smell of Palo Santo won me over and I had to buy some for my shop!So many lovely things in store, go and check it out, Milly has done a great job on this shop!

When in lewes, you really ought to visit this fabulous shop. Its curator /owner, Milly, has assembled some of the finest, hand crafted goods from around the world and locally. From hand-made cards, chocolate and glasses (both wearable and for the table) to cosmetics, luggage and wall hangings to mention but a few. All ethically sourced & made and helping to empower the craftspeople that supply this gem of a shop and events space. There are workshops available from some of the makers and crafts folk, Inc basketry, perfume, pottery, cosmetics, and my favourite 'darning'.I'll admit it, I am addicted to the Palo Santo incense and can't work without it now. What else can I say? It's a joy to wander into this space, nestled in at the historic Needlemakers. Go on, go, and join in with something unique. ?

We were pleasantly surprised by the change to the Needlemakers cafe. Now a trendy Italian, with homemade pasta, gnocchi and great salads. We pretty much had everything and loved it all. Squisito is the refreshing and great eatery that Lewes needs in such a unique space. Also, a very interestingly wine list.

Gorgeous shop! Attended a perfume making workshop today which was hosted and run brilliantly. Highly recommend attending a workshop, or popping in for thoughtfully-curated gift selections.

The most amazing night, with superb food, atmosphere and wonderful staff. This really should be everyone's go-to place - any time of the day. The most incredible cherry and chocolate brownie I've EVER tasted = and the dishes on the supper menu were inventive and absolutely delicious. A must-visit!.

Poor very salty food served in an uncomfortable environment but pleasant staff. The coffee and cakes are average There is not a great more that I can say about it.

Nice cafe and welcoming staff, interesting menu. We chose the soup as the table next to us had ordered it and it looked large and delicious. Ours arrived and was a much smaller so left feeling hungry.

The moment you step in you know you?re in for a treat! The cafe is lovely with a good selection of drinks, cakes, sandwiches and the Buddha Bowl I had for lunch, was to die for. The coffee was excellent too. It?s a little on the pricey side but I found it was worth it as the quality of the food was really good. The only negative thing to say were the staff could have been a tad friendlier and paid a bit more attention to their customers. No wifi. I will definitely try this place again and the shops in the building are worth a visit.

Amazing vegan Mac and cheese! The people were lovely and the atmosphere was cute and warm. The white wine wasn?t great but not bad enough to not go there again. They have a bar so perhaps could offer more than 1 white? I breastfed in there and felt really comfortable doing so. The waitress even complemented me on it which meant a lot. Will be back again next week!
