I ordered hot honey dough balls for take away and they came out freezing cold and the manager was extremely rude for giving me the wrong order and it being cold do not come here not worth it

Had a great lunchtime meal at Pizza Express Lewes. Starters and mains were tasty, hot and came out quick. Shout out to Luke the chef and Brandon the waiter both very friendly couldn?t ask for better service which made it a pleasant experience. Top marks

Sorry to say that we had a poor experience recently, well below standard of other chains locally and other pizza express restaurants nationally. Particular issues when we were there with number of staff working which meant delays and ruined a child birthday dinner. Some money was taken off for this but didn't make up for it. But there are wider problems. Food just wasn't great - pizzas taste like the ones in the shops (kids feedback), restaurant dingy (but clean) atmosphere even when pretty full, flat. Interestingly when I raised this with customer services afterwards - to protect the member staff who was working and had some interesting things say about company working practices - I got back a load of badly stitched together standard lines from some general customer service person. This is a restaurant chain at least locally that has lost touch with what made it great at the beginning.

I enjoyed a meal here as a special treat to myself. I didn't feel uncomfortable dining alone, the staff were prompt and polite. They honoured my free dough ball voucher using just a numeric code, not a QR code. I got plenty of tap water for the table.
