Nice clean helpful friendly staff wasn't in there for long as just needed to take something back. They don't open till noon on Sunday which is a bit daft as that was all I needed to do. So had to stop somewhere and have a coffee waiting for the shop to open.

I would have to pretty much agree with Emma J here, though obviously being a woman she has more authority on the matter, but yeh, I do agree, New Look clothes are not that nice. Everything just looks tatty and uncared for on the racks, like the staff have acknowledged how poor the clothes are and have just given up all hope of ever selling stuff. That isn't though to say that they aren't friendly and helpful themselves, but you know, I'm just trying to make a point.

If it's not the money issue then what is it that makes people keep going to New Look! I know I'm being judgmental and assuming that everyone who lives in Lewes has money, but whether they have buckets of it or just a sufficiency- it's still more than necessary to avoid buying the rubbish quality clothes at New Look made by underprivileged people in the third world. I went into this shop for a few minutes and it was quite busy. It's a horrible shop filled with too much stock and all of it bad quality, admittedly it's all very cheap and on trend.

Quite a small store, as most of the stores in Lewes are. But some good items. And it is usually really quiet, so you can browse without getting crushed as you do in some of the larger budget clothing stores. The staff are really chatty and helpful. And if you haven't got much to spend, they pretty much always have sale items by the changing rooms at the back of the store, so you can usually pick something up whatever your budget, which you can't say for most of the shops in Lewes.
