Have you ever had such an incredibly slow leak that you could never be bothered to have it fixed? I have been plagued with those type of leaks, particularly after I have had my tyres changed at one of those typical fast franchised dealers. Today, I had to get my tire changed and wasn't looking forward going through that again.Well I really needn't have worried JWR is the exact opposite of a "pile-em-high and fit-em-quick" large franchise. To my mind it is a top example of those traditional professional values that are becoming rarer nowadays. Both the guys that I met there inspired great confidence in me. In fact after four decades of using different tire places, the quality of workmanship I received today was seminole.Despite the place being busy. I explained my issue and a very patient and helpful guy explained that the corrosion on the inner lip of the Hub is the usual cause. Without me even asking he spent a whole 15 minutes grinding it off (see pic). I said I was happy to pay extra but I was told this is all part of the service.Amazing! I suggested that they should charge for this detailed extra service? The reply I got was "look our attitude here is treat the tire as if it was going to go on our own car". Apparently they had had one car recently that took them close to half an hour to grind all the rubbish off.Well I'm totally sold. Great prices, brilliant professionalism. I shall be using this place from now on. And I won't even mind if they start charging for that service. They should in my opinion, as most of the big franchise chains would laugh at you if you wanted this level of attention?My only regret is that I didn't get a better "before" picture of my rim. Apologies for that.Anyway thanks again mate for a really top job ?.

Great place to get your tyres. You won't get ripped off by all the add on prices, nor any bad advice on tyre condition. Jim can be busy at times and it is first come first served.It is a bit ramshackle at the moment as he awaits the imminent move into the new building.

We were recommended to JWR Tyres, and they fully justified the recommendation! In a rather slapdash and mediocre world, the attention to detail taken by Ed was exemplary - and all done with good humour and friendliness. The odd sized tyres were ordered and were there the next day. The fitting took longer than it would have done at a chain tyre supplier, but the scrupulous care was worth the wait, and we felt confident that the tyres were safely secured. All in all, a first class experience - how nice to go to a service provider for whom excellence is the norm! Thank you, Ed and Jim.
