This was booked by someone else and we hadn't realised it was Thai. So we were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived and it was all delicious.

Restaurant prices, bedsit cooking. Menu needs plant protein options, 'vegetables' has not been an interesting alternative since the 1980s. The £16 non-meat burger was tough and tasteless like frozen from a supermarket, served in a fluffy white bun, dull. The £16 pad Thai egg noodles lacked any flavour, any sauce and any egg. The broccoli was brown and expired, the cauliflower cooked to mush. Staff imaginatively claimed it had invisible egg in tiny pieces. They then brought an oily egg but there was no sign of yolk and it was fried in meat juices and black meat residue so the chef clearly not tolerant of vegetarians or people hoping to get what they paid for. A nightmare for anyone wanting flavour, non meat protein or better than supermarket food experience. An effort was made with a decorative uncooked swede although not edible so would all end up in the bin. Staff seemed not to appreciate feedback but hopefully they'll use it to improve.

The pub had a nice feel and a friendly owners who were helpful about my coeliac disease questions. I had a burger (without bun) but it was completely raw minced meat that literally fell apart when cut into. My son also had a burger and he thought they?d put tomato sauce on it (he asked for no sauce) but when I looked it was just blood on his burger bun. He was very upset about this. We told the waitress who took them away then came back and apologised to us asking if we wanted anything else. We had been put off the burgers so my son asked for some garlic bread and I asked for just chips.
They charged us for these side dishes! And when we asked the waitress said they?d taken the burgers off, and that that was enough! Well obviously, as we hadn?t been able to eat them? The owners refused to come downstairs where the waitress went to ask them to come to speak to us.
I know mistakes happen, we are all human, but this was raw in the middle, not undercooked. Then I feel we weren?t then looked after at all. The bill was still £70 despite having a terrible meal and experience, with my son really worrying about being ill. Disappointing they didn?t try to make amends.

They served us raw burgers which also had an odd taste and a slime texture in the middle and one had blood on the bun which we initially thought was tomato ketchup. The rest of the food was ok but we were rather put off and wondering what the hygiene must be like in the kitchen, so we didn?t eat much. They said we didn?t have to pay for the burgers ? of course not, who would pay for such a thing? We suggested taking more off because it rather ruined the whole thing. Eventually the owners agreed but quite reluctantly. The jug of pims was expensive yet dilute.

Such a beautiful pub, so friendly and staff amazing. Will definitely be going back there. I'm a Coeliac and they were so helpful and accommodating.

Popped in for a pint after work. Reasonable prices for an Estrella. Not very busy, just a couple of locals when I visited.

Lovely country pub with a cosy atmosphere, great range of beers and suuuuper fish with chips. Must come back for the Thai menu.

A wonderful friendly place.
Service was great as well as the locals making us feel very welcome, greeting us as they walked in.
The usual chef was on annual leave and a stand in Thai Chef was on hand to provide service. What a treat! The Thai food was second to none! Truly outstanding. Highly recommend for a fun and friendly pint too.
