The manager was very impressive today. Every thing was very organised and well run. She dealt with a difficult character really professionally, kindly and politely whilst not being intimidated when many may have been. The service is always friendly and professional.

Went in for an eye test and OCT scan, wanting to then reglaze my glasses and sunglasses elsewhere. People working there told me they actually offer that too, so I decided to hear out the prices. After a 20-30 minute explanation of what and how much it all worked out to be £175 with all of their different add ons. I asked if I can think about it as I initially had a better quote from somewhere else and potentially come back within a day to get them done. I was told I'd have to pay on the spot. After a VERY pushy sales conversation, I decided to go with it as I live nearby.
Collected my sunglasses this Wednesday and every time I wear them, I can see different spectacles/dust/bokeh effects through them. I went in today, explained what I'm seeing about 10 times, got told they ga e dust on them. Person serving me cleaned them and (surprise) - all the defects are still there (it's almost like I've had glasses for over 10 years now and I am capable of cleaning them...) Same person told me they offer non-reflection coatings if I wanted to pay another £35 for that add on (I had already paid £35 for apparently, a completely different anti-glare effect) that was never offered to me in that whole sales pitch and might not even sort out the issue. The person I spoke to today told me he always recommends that and what I actually paid for doesn't do much. He told me I have 100 days to pay an extra £35 for the extra reglazing. Why on Earth would I spend more money at a place that hasn't provided me with good service or a good product?
Overall a waste of money. There's cheaper options (especially online), with better and thinner lenses (I've had many pairs of glasses and these are the thickest lenses I've ever had). I should've done myself a favour and believed the reviews I read about the branch.
Go to any other opticians - Ace & Tate, or get reglazing done online at Lensology if that works for you.

Gave me glasses that are the wrong prescription for my eyes, I have been in and out Of specsavers hove only to be told each time to give them another 2 weeks and comeback again. All I wanted was refund at this stage which it says in their terms and conditions l that I am entitled to a refund . But now I have Just giving up all together and I?m down £125 and have two pairs of glasses that will never be used

Have had an eye floater for some months. Called for advice and was very quickly offered an appointment the next day for an OCT scan The procedure was very simple but obviously very technical and it was easy to ask questions about what the cause, what continued care was required. The optometrist was very reassuring and appeared to be knowledgeable. The price was £35 and the tests took approximately 40 minutes in total .There was a mildly uncomfortable eye drop placed in affected eye to allow pupil to dilate before the scan . This made vision blurry and I had already been advised on phone to not drive that day.The effects wore off after 4/5 hours .I was reassured and glad I followed this up .

This employee is very friendly, but today she gave us the wrong information again. A few months ago, when I came here to get glasses, she also gave me incorrect information, and her colleague corrected her on the spot. Today it happened again ? her colleague told us the correct information. This time she just walked over, responded briefly as if nothing had happened, and then walked away.

A overall experience in the Hove branch, everyone was so warm and welcoming, the service was excellent, really felt like you were a person not just another customer. Genuinely great caring service for every individual through the full process!
I turned up 10/15mins early, had eye ?puff? test and a scan, and was still early for my 1pm appointment! And 2 for 1, bonus!

Usually this specsavers store is very good. My last glases two years ago perfect from the outset.
This new pair really not fit for purpose . I had to go back six weeks after having them to have new lenses put in as they had not got my eyeline measurements incorrect. Then had to go back a few week's later as the arms on the glasses have twisted and really won't last two years.
I asked for a refund as so disappointed in the glasses but all they wanted to offer was a new pair for half price. O K fair enough but they never even apologised for my time having to go back or acknowledge how disappointed I was. They definitely need better customer service training.
So no I will not be going back.
Back to Vision Express I think.
