I used to love this shop . In fact I even used to work there in the 90s .
It?s had a revamp and it?s ghastly . Where on earth have all the friendly staff gone ? It?s dark ,depressing and difficult to find anything . Avoid

Hygiene issues Co-op have just dumped a fridge out the back of the shop from the old staff room still with rotten food in it. We told the manager but he doesn?t seem to care.

Sad, soulless refit. Coop are rolling out this horrible refit across the country and sadly they?ve now ?updated? Blatchington Road. This used to feel like a shop. It now feels like a cold transactional facility- devoid of any joy. Taking away the classic supermarket layabout and replacing it with high sided isles might be efficient, but it makes the shopping experience miserable. Not to mention the fact that when you get to the checkouts, most of the cashiers have been replaced by machines. Would only buy bread or milk here in an emergency and would definitely try to dash in and out as quickly as possible since the joy of browsing has been removed entirely. I wonder if the staffing cost-savings will outweigh the lost sales due to poor customer experience?

I placed a home delivery order with them and it didn't show up. They don't answer their phone either so you can't complain to them. Very poor!

Staff in the Woodbridge store are very badly trained didn?t know what a TOTUM student card was as a result I was rude to the staff member. The staff in the shop are very thick has no brains and music was on when shopping not good for someone who has autism
