Of all OK the chain coffee shop shops I think Nero is the best. However a number of their shops are in need of a refurbishment.

A great venue to sit & relax whilst drinking a coffee or two, in a very good location,plenty is seating area, and a few outside, very clean,& the staff were friendly & helpful.

When staff cannot be bothered it makes for a poor atmosphere, I presume it was the manager serving (other staff was asking him questions)and it was clear he was not happy to be there, he was rude to staff and short to clients and even tried pushing problems back on the client. I confronted as asked him to take ownership of an issue and still did not come back to me with a resolution, I had to chase him for details as we left (we were there for over an hour so plenty of time).

Avoid! Bearded guy barista is rude, drinks never have syrup in (despite asking) and they scoff at you for anything slightly ?inconvenient? to them. To make things worse, the straws and cups look like they?re used! Dirty and horrible.

My favourite Nero branch. Well tended, great staff, good atmosphere and good food selection. I had porridge today and I like that I can get healthy food to avoid the tempting pastries and cakes! Insider tip, there's a loo upstairs! ?

My wife and I came here for lunch. I ordered an oat-mocha. My wife asked for an Americano with oat+soy combined (I guess you could say we were being awkward customers). The barista said (to her, I didn't hear) that's not possible, so she opted for soy and went to find a seat. As the drinks were being prepared, a reminded the barista that she wanted oat+soy combined. He snapped at me, "I've already told you that's not possible!". He then turned his back on me, made faces towards the other staff and was shaking his head - generally being passive-aggressive. When he turned back to me, I said (politely), that's no way to behave towards a customer. He just shrugged his shoulders and told me to pay. I asked for his first-name. He refused. He called the other staff member who asked me to how I'd like to pay. I explained that he was rude to me, so I'd like to know his name. She refused and said I could ask to speak to the manager. He basically tried to fob me of by explaining that being a barista is a very stressful job. I told him to discard our order and that we were leaving. He told me he thought I was over-reacting. But I was polite and softly spoken throughout and I don't frequent a coffee shop to be treated as an annoyance.

Conned into Colombian bean. More money. Not advised. The charged for takeaway cup, never before. Rude little man. Have used this neros since it opened. Too many coffee shops here to put up with this.

Favourite cafe out of all highstreet chains. Sadly too overpriced and hardly anyone know how to make a porridge. We love coming here so we will persevere until staff gets more training. Would love to see more vitality food options.

Maybe I'm getting too old, 57, for these chain coffee shops but the music is so loud in them that you have to raise your voice to be heard by the person next to you. Service can be hit and miss. One day you get a nice chatty cheerful waiter and on other days you can order a coffee and the whole transaction could take place without them uttering a single word.Parking: If you arrive after about 10.30 you are going to struggle to park in the tesco car park.

Saturday afternoon and only 1 member of staff serving. Think other was on a break as she came back later. Customers having to clear own tables. Disgusting dirty tables and behind service area. Really like Cafe Nero but this one has gone downhill! Was similar a couple of weeks ago when there was only a trainee Barista on her own due to staff sickness. Toilet was closed that day and the cafe was closing at 4pm as no staff. Won't be visiting again any time soon! Get your act together Cafe Nero!

visited here today just after lunch. really nice coffee and food as always but the customer service was terrible. I used to work at a caffè nero on bond street and I still work in service and I know it?s hard and tiring, especially so close to Christmas but the two people that served me today were so rude. One person hardly met my eye and didn?t even say hello. The other person, when I asked if they had any hand sanitiser we could use, just pointed at the bottle with a rude look on their face. Felt disrespected. They weren?t busy either as I waited until after the queue had gone to speak to them. Really disappointed. On another note behind the bar was filthy, coffee grounds everywhere and the barista didn?t prepare the coffee properly.

I love the coffee from Neros its the only coffee outlet that I buy coffee from! The staff are friendly and efficient but there is not enough staff! There is always a queue to order and often tables are left with dirty cups and stuff as the staff are focussing on making coffee for the customers and not keeping the shop clean and tidy! Get more staff Nero's management!!!
