Wendy, Surprised at your comments. Is is polite to interupt a member of staff while they are dealing with another customer's order? If you have experience of buying this type of product you should know to read the packaging. Manufacturers are frequently changing packaging. To expect the shop to refund you for your own purchasing error is unreasonable. The policy of not accepting returns on frozen food is correct and the owner's reply is very fair and not at all pedantic.

Inexperienced staff as to what a good substitute raw frozen food is available when your regular range of food is out of stock. Regular price per kilo of regular food is approx £4.60-£6.00 per kilo. Was substituted with 1kilo at £7.25 per kilo, I have used this raw frozen food before but was charged for the premium range ( the packaging had been changed so I didn?t realise it was the premium range. The average range would cost £5.70 a kilo which I feel would be a good substitute as regular range out of stock. When I queried the price after a 20minute drive home, the female assistant told me the young chap was really busy filling an order and left that to serve me. I feel he should have had the knowledge to suggest a medium grade food in Natures Menu frozen food. I telephoned the owner Elaine to query this , she explained, yes he was very busy and is only there to serve customers and it?s not their responsibility to advise which dog food could be used as a substitute, that?s the responsibility of the pet owner. I asked her if there could be a refund added to my loyalty account for the misunderstanding, Elaine replied no, we don?t give refunds as there is the price label placed above the freezer. Well needless to say?,I won?t be going back again, what happened to staff knowing their products and the owner not to be so pedantic about the situation???

This pet food shop has everything you need, and more, for your pets. Very friendly owner and staff. My laugh of the day was the sign saying "I am not a till" on something that looks like a till and where the till used to be. Made even funnier by the young chap stood behind the notice ?.

Have used this shop for years. The service and quality is always very good. Also cheaper than than the other pet shop. Advice when you need it. There is a loyalty card system. Now have containers of loose feed. Take your own containers - cheaper and save waste.
