Excellent customer service and really pleased with my new glasses and prescription sunglasses. Rob was very thorough in measuring for the alignment of lenses, and went to a lot of effort to find the frames I originally chose when there was a problem with the order. Will certainly use this branch in the future.

Absolute top notch service today from VE Hastings. The eye test guy (Paul) was great and explained everything in detail. The assistant (David) that helped me choose my frames etc was excellent. He took so much time to go through and find the best value deal for me and again, explained everything in really clear detail. I shall post another review once I get my new glasses and sunglasses, I certainly hope they are as good as their service. ! ...and thanks to the other two ladies in there today too, I got help from everyone !!

Expensive glasses, cheap customer service. Went in today after my £400+ varifocals, 18 months old, broke. No attempt to find out if they could be repaired. I will go to Specsaver for my next pair.

Okay, so first of all, I realise they were floods and the shop was flooded which needed sorting, However, I was able to make an appointment two days after this incident for the Saturday arrived early for my appointment that Saturday only to find a shop was closed and what I can only assume the manager outside saying that everyone has been contacted and had their appointments cancelled or clearly mine was not cancelled and after travelling down a couple of miles for this appointment, no call text or email me to say this appointment has been cancelled. Why allow the system to make appointments after you decided to close the shop for a week completely stupid and wasting people?s time.Called head office and got no real explanation. No one seems to give a dam at all.I wouldn?t recommend or go back at all!

I made an appointment for my 6 year old daughter for her first visit to the Hastings branch. I indicated at the beginning of the visit that English is not her first language and she might not understand everything. In the middle of the visit, the optician got annoyed because the child was stressed and did not want to read the letters. The staff (Paul) as I remember well, has no approach to children at all. I do not recommend

Originally chose pair of glasses in Eastbourne which said they will get Hastings to order after over a week of waiting rang Hastings to find out what's happening and nothing had been done, eventually they got the frames after saying they were discontinued,and when went to shop the frames were not made properly so obviously no one checks the quality of the product, so have to say a bit of improvement needed in communication and quality checking

The staff are friendly and are thorough with there assessments, only let down by poor communication meant i sat waiting for half an hour and the glasses I bought were more as they had wrongly been placed in a cheaper price range
