Manager was totally unhelpful in finding my booking, awful. Just kept repeating I was not on her arrivals list, despite me as showing her texts and emails confirming I had a booking that day. Made no attempt outside of insulting my intelligence byvsuggesting I must have booked it under another name.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals (breakfast and dinner) were enjoyable and substantial. The room was quiet and comfortable although, as with many hotels, the lighting could have been better.

Good location short walk to the beach (if you don?t mind the hill) Rooms fairly priced compared to surrounding B&Bs Bar expensive for what it is and very quiet too, would definitely recommend Only downside is the wait at the bar and not having a member of staff at the help desk at all times

Pillow and bed bone hard. Old and tired looking. Breafast in cafe had very watered down orange juice, no hash browns and very hard sauages. On last day saw a cockroach walk from kitchen along dining room which was reported by another guest.

Building very dated , below acceptable cleanliness, room was hot and couldn't open window wide due to child lock no key given for said lock which is a fire risk as it is a means of escape , description of scrambled egg at breakfast was free range and it was clearly powdered egg , white rock hotel is the same price for a sea view room k will be staying there in future

Recently stayed here after being at another lodge and it was fab to have the barcafe to come back to after our night out. Rooms clean and staff lovely. As always with Travelodge it is a basic hotel but clean and friendly which is the most important thing to me. Kat the manager looked after us well throughout our stay and really made us feel welcome.

Went for 1 night with family, hotel is located about 5 mins drive from beach. There is parking at the hotel which is £3 for 24 hours. The family rooms are big, has a double bed with 2 single beds and is clean. The bathrooms need a refurb so don't expect much on that... We had booked 2 rooms and both were no different. Staff are amazing very friendly and go out of their way to help from am to pm.

The worst Travelodge i have ever stayed in. The location was at the top of a very steep hill, so those with walking issues should not stay here unless they have a car. The room was ok but the window was wide open and the fan was on, i started to wonder why, was there a bad smell in the room, who knows. There was no hot water in the shower or the sink. There was only a sheet on the bed, the duvet was in a bog by the door. Breakfast starts at 07:00, i went to the dining room at 07:05, there was nobody around so i helped myself to tea and cereal. A man appeared and said he thought he heard someone. I ordered a vegetarian sausage, it came out so quick i was a bit shocked. I then went to get a hot breakfast, well hot it certainly was not. It was lukewarm; the sausage was like a rock and i could not cut it, the beans were tepid and the scrambled egg was congealed. I wanted to complain but there was nobody around. I went back to my room, packed and went to Reception. I waited for 5 minutes but nobody came out. Unfortunately i had to leave to go to work. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. This has put me off staying at a Travelodge ever again!

Hotel quite dated. We were on the bottom floor and the noise from above was awful as was constant banging around. Had to get another pillow and put it over my head. Husband went down to reception and there was no one again at reception. Hardly slept a wink. Parking was OK but can park for free outside on the road. But if you do park outside it's 3 pounds for 24 hours. But make sure you put your number plate into the machine inside. We did not see this and it wasn't signposted either so I'm now expecting a ticket thew the post. There was no one on reception when we turned up to tell us. So by the time we came back in the evening there was someone on the desk and she asked me to put the number plate into the machine. She said you should be OK but I doubt it ?\\nBreakfast.. well it was awful. The sausages were so over cooked and the mushrooms were dry. Hashbrowns had a funny taste. Paid quiet alot of money to stay here but sadly wasn't for us. So we won't be back.

Room seemed clean, all as you would expect. It felt like there was a hole under the vinyl flooring in the bathroom and I could feel poss the springs on the edge of the bed. Otherwise fine.

Stayed twice and both times had a room in the lower level that had little or no phone service. Although the parking isn't expensive, you can park on the road outside for free...

What a lovely place, staff extremely helpful, kind, forgiving (my 3 little monsters) what a lovely, quirky place, would definitely stay again, my only trepidation is that the prices for rooms go up and down, its hard to stay again in the same room for double the price you initially pay. I think if the room has a price it should stay that way, not depending on the time of year.Nearby activities: Everything is on your doorstep and great if you need some exercise. The walk back from the town is all uphill, but it wouldn't change my experience or stop me from booking again. Infact I enjoyed it.

Hotel usual travelodge room lovely and large and comfortable very clean and tidy although bit of a bad smell in room not sure what from but dog room so possibly previous occupant. Some small maintenance issues need addressing. Hotel a bit tired general scrapes and such. Steep walk to sea front but close only about 10 minutes but there is a bus for those with walking difficulties. General staff helpful and friendly although reception staff hard to find and not very responsive. Got here after 4 hour drive and needed the toilet 2 people in front office but didn't come to reception in the end the maintenance man let me through to use the loo.Rooms: Basic rooms you expect from old travelodge but comfortable and everything you need
