Twice I have been in recently to the Hastings store. Fantastic choice of footwear. I wanted to buy a specific shoe which they had in store. But apparently if you are over 50 you are invisible and not even acknowledged. Rather prefer serving the younger customers.
Sorry Shuh I will go elsewhere that appreciate my custom.

Today I was served by Lawrence who, despite how busy the store was, did a smashing job providing a friendly and helpful service. Lawrence helped me to pick between three different shoe brands, was quick to provide the sizes I requested, and also fitted in some friendly small talk (which was a nice touch and appreciated). After my purchase when I mentioned I'd write him a review, he shared that he was new to the job, which suprised me because, with the level of service he delivered, you would think he'd been in retail for years.
