Very overpriced stock, like all of their stores, so this one is no different. They are very good with returns and their goods are mostly good quality.
Staff are friendly and helpful

Never buy a phone from here. I got sold a dodgy Google pixel. With a faulty battery, staff refused to look at it under warranty because there's a minor scratch on the screen like that has anything to do with the preexisting fault. I've had the phone a week and it's becoming unusable due to the battery constantly dying and overheating. I'm contacting trading standards and writing a complaint. Avoid CEX nationwide when buying phones. It's not worth it.

NEVER buy wii games from cex unless you checked for stains/damage
I went to cex to trade in my games to get a voucher and I got over £100 and I decided to get a Wii and Mario Kart Wii with it. I didn?t notice at the start but when I was inspecting the case because I was gonna return it and the Wii due to it not being in good enough condition or fun to be worth its price and also because there was a bootleg controller they didn?t tell me about instead of a real WiiMote I realised that the case had what looked like chocolate or grease stains both at the top of the box art and inside the case. I?m now definitely returning both items. While I don?t fully blame anyone at CeX for this, I strongly urge you at CeX to double check the conditions of game, consoles and controllers and make sure that customers know if the controllers/accessories are real or not. Mistakes are made and I?m happy to say that every other time I?ve ever been to CeX, I?ve been given quality items and I will also be buying another console when I return the Wii and the game tomorrow.
Edit: The RDR2 map in the background of Photo 2 is unrelated.

Absolutely awful experience. Last week I took a MacBook in and was quoted 180 but the password couldn?t be unlocked. They said that if I had the work done/passwords removed and take it back they?d sell it - for the same price I was quoted. I came back a few days ago to speak to someone else after 1066 computers fixed the laptop and gave it a brand new updated system to see if it was worth more, the gentleman said it would still be worth 180 (think this was Friday?). I have just lost my job before Christmas really needed the money and spent £ out of my own pocket for the brilliant work Matt kindly did on the computer, only to go back again today to CEX and have them tell me my laptop was now worth 108. The girl stated ?oh our prices change all the time, didn?t we tell you??. No, no one told me, and I was told the opposite. I was quoted 180 and should have received 180, especially after paying for work thinking that I would receive a fair amount back. Times are tough for lots of people right now so I don?t think it?s fair of the staff to brew at customers like that. Wouldn?t recommend anyone to take their items here to sell.

Overpriced rip off merchats doesn't come close.
This place has killed off all local retro gaming business except ONE, staff are friendly enough but if you're going to dodge showers then please consider deodorant? Smells like a goth rave in there at the best of times.
Never go for trade ins here, you'd be better off on Facebook marketplace of one of many gaming groups on Facebook, that's why us collectors/traders have had to resort to since these awful CEX stores opened.

They underpaid me for the item. The website says that they were going to pay £46 and I got £34. I'm not happy with them.

Visit the store a lot, they always seem to have a pretty good stock. Staff have always been helpful at Hastings. CEX prices are reasonable compared to eBay but when you see what they pay for the products there's a huge markup there. Friends DVD boxset for example, for that they'll pay you 1p (yes £0.01) but they sell it for £2.00 , that must be one of the highest markups in retail. I like the CEX concept and the stock and the staff , but watch those mark-ups!

Do not buy from this store. If your item develops a fault they will try their hardest not to refund you.
Trading standards next step.
