Absolutely appalling childrens starters and what they try to get away serving a piece of garlic bread smaller than a palm of a 2 year old..Are we in the dark ages waiting over 30 minutes for vegetarian sausages to arrive during breakfast, lack of food in serving dishes, dirty plates and lack of during breakfast, and severely disorganized staff to top it off.Better off getting food from sainsburys across the road and better value than the £10 per adult!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, especially if they have additional needsMy wife visited today to meet up with our daughter and the grandchildren for drinks and to use the play area, the staff were rude and told them they were not welcome especially our grand daughter who is autistic, unless they had booked to have a meal. They would not talk or enter into a conversation about it so my family left with out ordering anything. We have used the windmill regularly for a decade and will now no longer use this place and will be warning others.Kid-friendliness: they are not kid or family friendly especially if they have additional needs

Great experience, good value, and exactly what I expect from a pub breakfast.Staff were very helpful with our breakfast buffet, and cooked additional veggie options to accommodate for my partner.

Only in for breakfast as was staying at the Premier Inn attached. Unusually food was a little cold, whether this was because the plate was not warm or if the food had been out too long in not sure. Normally happy with breakfast at Premier Inn locations.

Not good place only one thing was the Staff trying to oversee a table for us whom.was helpful.Careful.on what you order as they try to short change you on your meal, so if upgrade your steak for example make sure they do. As noticed several tables on the visit raise this issue plus realised myself got done.Bar service shocking.

Despite the meal starting well with a quickly delivered entree, it rapidly started go downhill. We waited an hour for our main course, which I suspect is why the starter came out so quickly; get some food in them so they don't leave and then there's no need to hurry delivering the main. And once it was, well, I've had some dodgy steaks in my time, but this `sirloin' was by far the worst. It looked like the something sliced off the shoulder of a Hannibal Lecter victim; thin, spread out, curling up at the sides. It was gone 2 pm by now and I was starving, so I gave it a go.Worst. Mistake. Ever.Every mouthful was full of gristle, it was akin to chewing down on a rubber toy you'd give to a dog. There was more gristle in my mouth than meat. I tried to persevere, but it was just too much, I had completely lost my appetite by now and couldn't eat anything else on the plate.(Oh, how difficult is it to fry a tomato? For the chef at the Windmill, incredibly so. It was just a slightly warmed up tomato, which could have easily been sliced and used in a sandwich.)Under normal circumstances I would have refused to pay for the meal; unfortunately the thieving toerags make you pay up front and I just couldn't be bothered to go up to the bar and argue with them about it, so we walked out.Never, ever again will I be eating at The Windmill or any other Brewers Fayre.

So sorry to share this. We were so disappointed, took my 82 year old aunt with my son, his partner and adorable 16mth toddler. The wait for the food was 50mins, the meat was dry with no flavour, we ordered a mixed grill, 2 burgers and a smothered chicken. All awful. Desert was OK as was the toddler meal of fishbites. The accesible toilet had not been cleaned and there was no wash basin due to a used nappy which had been left and was too dirty for the user to move. This was reported to the staff. We thought there were high standards at brewers fayre but not at this one sadly. It was a Tuesday.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a carpark, a lift to the restaurant level and accessible toilet

Although busy the kitchen staff kept up with the food. One of the coffee machines was not as hot as the other so I gave only 4 stars for the food. All you can eat for just 9.99 is great value. Don't forget to try the muffins.

Sorry but not a great experience at the weekend. Premier Inn next door had failed to book us a table despite saying they had, we were then overcharged by five pounds for drinks we didn't have and waited more than an hour for 2 kids meals to arrive. The carvery was ok. Meats alright but poor quality sides and most of it was going cold. We ate there for breakfast the next morning and really wish we hadn't as the hot buffet was awful. Needs a big improvement for me to return.

Really impressed with everything here. Lovely breakfast. Restaurant is clean. Staff are joyful and very accomidating. There's a soft play and toy grab machines. Two toys for £1.50. Can't fault at all and will most definitely be returning.
