7 of us went here for a birthday meal last week. What a great place, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and after we went out into the garden that had great views and the garden itself was really nice too. Highly recommended and we will be back.

I can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten there yet, the Russian, Alex, Kirsty, Beth et al were very attentive and made me feel most welcome, it's a nice, quiet little pub down a hill near Hartfield! Stop for a drink! Dog friendly, oh, and kids too!

Food was nice. Lovely setting. Service ok. There is a service charge added to the bill which we hadnt noticed so we left a cash tip. Our mistake for not checking the bill!! My bugbear is, that when we went to pay at the bar, we ordered more drinks and were charged 12 % service charge on these too. I was asked by the barstaff if I'd like to put the drinks on the whole bill, to which I agreed but at this point I was totally unaware of the charge and would have paid separately had I of known. Paying a service charge on drinks you get from the bar yourself is not good and im sure the barstaff would have been aware of this. If we visit again, we'll be careful about this.

Lovely little spot in an idyllic setting. I've had cajun chicken, and missus had a burger. Simple dishes, but they're done right. Finished with homemade ice cream. Parking is a bit of a headache, but having a cold one here on a sunny day is always a pleasure.
