Everything you'd expect from a Tesco superstore: shelves stacked, tills blinking, and the faint hum of trolley wheels on a mission. Just don?t forget to sign your car into the system with your receipt, unless you fancy funding a new car park barrier.
Also, I forgot my bags (rookie mistake) and couldn?t find any near the self-service checkouts. So I left juggling a week?s worth of groceries like I was auditioning for Britain?s Got Talent: The Supermarket Edition. Ten out of ten for balance, zero for preparation.

To the young girl who served me at approx 0924hrs this morning that was heard grumpily asking her colleague if she was on the checkout all day. You may want to learn some manners. A simple smile and please and thank you. Needless to say I didn?t bother thanking you as you were rude and don?t deserve to work there. I?m the mum with the kid who dropped his car! You?re welcome!

In Hailsham there is a lad called Rory. He is the most polite and helpful person I have met for ages. He is a credit to the store.

Tesco Hailsham - A complete waste of resources - Car Park has just been refurbished and now with smaller spaces, reduced disabled bays, more click and collect and electric vehicle charging points has totally ruined the whole store. Spent 45 minutes on 28 March 2025 at 1100 trying to find a space to park, eventually went back home without shopping. To say that the store was full is not a bad enough description, it was absolutely heaving. As a Hailsham resident I am totally dismayed as to where all the people are coming from - worst place in Sussex to live and the worst supermarkets. Ended up going to Sainsbury Eastbourne just to do my weekly shopping. Tesco - never again.

Bought steak yet again,
Didn't have fillet, so bought rump, cooked perfect but not nice, husband left it ,it was perfectly cooked red in the middle but horrible,even the dog cauldnt pull meat off ,
There meat has such low dates if you want meat for Sunday don't buy on Friday it will be out of date before sunday

Absolutely disgusting store, from the moment we went in the place had a feeling of dread and gloom, most of the shelves were empty and we were hard pressed to find anything, rude customers and staff were around every corner, went to buy some herbs and picked up one of the glass bottles to see it was smashed and had glass all over my hand, told the shelf stocker guy and he didn't care, went around to the freezers and what I can only describe as a nightmare confronted us, quite clearly the freezers and chillers had a power cut and everything seemed like it had defrosted and been refrozen, there were icicles hanging from the freezer shelves and loose food and vegetables mixed with a lot of broken ice in the freezer compartments and to my dismay live wires hanging out of the freezers, after finishing our purchases we went to the self check out to find every other item scanned broke the machine and the girl who should have been helping so we could continue scanning was more intent on talking to her friend than doing her job and every time I asked she would huff and puff and tut and give dirty looks making the experience even more horrible as time went on, it's the longest time I've ever spent scanning items at a self service I kid you not it took about 25 mins anyway when we got home we packed everything away and I got the fish sticks out to eat as a snack, now note these had the 9th of August on them but when I opened them the smell was one of the worst things I've ever encountered, they were obviously rotten and made me gag, obviously from the power cut they'd warmed up and then been re chilled, so quite honestly if you don't want food poisoning or to he treated like crap by uneducated mindless staff avoid this tescos at all cost, I will be reporting all this to environmental health, food safety standards and the omnibus, the most horrific shopping experience I've ever had

Incredibly rude woman on the till. I tried to ask a perfectly reasonable question about a voucher and she just patronised me and made me feel stupid. Actually this is second time she was rude to me.

Narrow parking spaces.
Usually busy, beware of higher prices than Tesco Extra stores.
Limited range of products due to smaller store.

18 yr old with valid ID could not buy a Red Bull because they were with a 17 year old who?s my son. The 17 year had valid ID and went outside to get it but could not get back into the shop as it was near closing time. 18 year old left unable to buy anything with no help despite 3 members of staff on duty with no communication between them. Their only concern was shutting the shop. Why couldn?t the staff talk to each other and resolve this ? Why did they leave my son?s friend with no help? A complete lack of care for the customer. Perhaps they?re not paid enough to care , who knows ?

Very poor customer service!Unfortunately had to use the customer service twice in the last week for the first time ever. Lady was very unhelpful on both occasions and seemed to have a attitude problem...Really not the sort of person you need on customer services Tesco.
