I used to get my coffee here regularly and the team was always amazing. Unfortunately, today (Tuesday at 3:45) I was disappointed to encounter new staff members who were surprisingly arrogant. Despite approaching them with a smile, they neither smiled back nor even looked at me. I?d like to remind them that customers are paying for both the product and the service, and respect should be part of the experience. The coffee is still excellent, but the service really needs improvement.

Was served a matcha latte which was incredible - the man behind the coffee was called harvey i believe. 10/10 would go again.

Liv, Kane and the rest of the main team here are amazing. Cheerful people who will not only make you a great coffee, but will also make your day. Management that I've seen is basically what I expect these days from a coffee shop but, fortunately, I'm most often in when they're not.
Very displeased at some of the changes that have come in recently. The new reusable cup system is cool, but the sizes have shrunk by 4oz while the prices remain about the same and there is no longer a large size (12oz is not a large). The chocolate used in drinks has also been replaced with a non-vegan one (frankly, there is absolutely no good reason for that these days) and there doesn't appear to be any attempt made to signpost this to the public, so I sure hope none of your regulars have a milk allergy.
I came here for the people above all else, but when I can't even get my regular anymore (which is being made with the worst brand of oat milk), and whatever I might get instead has shrunk by a quarter of its size, it's become very difficult to justify buying anything anymore.
With a team as good as the one you have, someone high up must have tried REALLY hard to find a way to screw things up this badly. Well done to them, I guess, as I need to find somewhere else to go for my coffee now. Such a shame, before Christmas this would have been a 5-star review.

From a coffee perspective, this cafe is brilliant. I used to come in almost every day for a cortado and a chit-chat with the baristas. Service was usually quick, and the espresso was just right. They always play such interesting music, and it was honestly the highlight of my day to have a human conversation about a mutual interest. Perhaps it?s just good customer service training, but the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy talking to me?I was always greeted with a smile! However, there?s recently been some staffing changes, and while most of the new faces are just as cheery and happy to see me, I have been truly appalled by the behaviours of the two older women. I came in around lunchtime a few days ago, and while I was standing near the till (she most likely believed me to be out of earshot), I heard the cashier say something to her coworker about ?foreign people? and their ?rudeness? and something about ?can?t fix stupid". I?ve seen this same woman?on multiple occasions?telling people off in a rather nasty way for ?not listening". Suffice to say, these people are never white. The personal touch of the customer service seems to have vanished since the blond woman started, the staff seem a lot more stressed than they used to be, and if this woman is in the cafe, I never have the opportunity to do more than quickly order my coffee?even if I?m the only customer?because she seems to be communicating with her team constantly while saying very little. I have witnessed her shouting across the cafe to staff members?often while they serve a customer or are otherwise engaged in other tasks. The young boy and the girl with the coloured hair (who was always always smiling) seem dimmer now and, while still friendly, appear stressed and overworked compared to how they used to be.
Additionally, I can?t ever hear the music anymore because the blonde woman is always shrieking about something. Either she?s going on and on at other staff members, berating them for mistakes they?ve made in excruciating detail (which to my inexperienced ears sound like inconsequential errors?humans make mistakes!) or she?s speaking to customers somewhat aggressively and entirely unprofessionally for taking the wrong food or for not hearing their order being called out. Again, these people are never white and seem to struggle to understand her as she lectures them. I understand it must be frustrating for staff members when people don?t pay attention, but such errors should never result in paying customers being shouted at. I was hesitant to leave this review because prior to these staff changes I had nothing but good things to say about this cafe, but I have witnessed these things happening on multiple occasions, and I cannot in good faith stay quiet or continue to give my business to people who treat others in such an appalling and frankly, racist, manner.

Clearly very poor management. Baristas didn?t know how to make a dirty chai, asking each other (not me) if it?s supposed to be one or two shots then mixing the chai with a fork into the one shot of coffee making the drink bitty and lumpy. When asked for a refund none of the poor servers had been taught how to do a card refund, and said that management had taken their cash away. They kindly made me a normal latte and gave me a croissant to make up for the price difference, as a dirty chai is £5.10. Servers did not seem happy, claiming that chai is not supposed to go with coffee. Clearly have all not been trained properly. Such a shame because it?s a lovely cafe.

Food mixups happen often. No corrections or refunds made. So you're stuck with what you get if you don't catch it early. Good coffee tho.
