Fabulous staff ? Great for a top up shop or small household that doesn't need to bulk buy. They're so friendly and helpful. Easy parking, just expect a queue to get to the entrance due to the crazy level crossing.

Having had to survive the horrors of the Tesco Superstore, Eastbourne, for longer than I care to think while I lived there, I was surprised in the improvement, when I had to drop by recently,
Not half so much cardboard lying around on the floor,
Far fewer large gaps on the shelves,
Slightly strange that some people are still choosing to wear facemasks, but that's not especially Tesco's fault.
It is still the world's smallest superstore, but it was almost civilised to trot round.

This store is where Tesco send their staff to die and it shows. With a few exceptions, the check out staff are extremely rude especially "Ruth" who never fails to not crack a smile behind her filthy face mask. Management are never seen, and apparently spend all their time "out the back" snaffling up the reductions. Why Langney, which is far superior, is losing staff and stock whilst this store continues is a mystery. An unpleasant shopping experience

I came here after searching on maps for a 'superstore'- there seemed to be 2 options in Eastbourne and i choose this one as it was on my route- i would not in any way call this a superstore, this is the smallest Tesco main store i have ever seen- they don't have customer toilets and i was a bit desperate so that was a shame (the guy i asked said "i don't think soooooo...." really slowly - you either do or you don't?)
Overall, quite well stocked with the basics, definitely gave off Tesco Express vibes- given it a 3 as was clean and stocked, but everything else was terrible.

Sophie (see pic) made me very uncomfortable while sat outside after buying a drink from this place. Came and invaded my personal space and then one of her colleuges came out and also sat on bench, and the profanity I heard while these guys are in uniform. Slagging off Co workers... Sophie has false eyelashes which isn't acceptable in an open food environment and you can see her tatty hair extensions... She was very awkward and made me not want to shop here again. Managers, sort your staff out.

I really loved the fact that the staff opened a checkout for us, rather than go through the self service till, late in the evening. Made our shopping experience so much better than getting flustered with a trolley load of shopping at the self service. Thank you very much Tesco.
