Had a very frustrating experience at the Crumbles Boots Pharmacy on 4th August 2025 while trying to collect a prescription for my wife, issued via Boots' Online Doctor. Despite the prescription being sent, staff said it hadn?t come through and were unaware of any support process. I was bounced between the pharmacy and Online Doctor with no resolution until it was finally escalated to a support team in London. Poor communication and lack of coordination made a simple task unnecessarily stressful.

I can?t say enough good things about Sophie who works behind the pharmacy counter. She went above and beyond to help me find a way to save money, and her knowledge and cheerfulness truly made a difference.

Absolutely disgusted with this pharmacy. The male staff member who is rude, and gives out false information. The worst customer service i have ever experienced. Thanks to him i had to try and order emergency prescription last minute...

What can I say, the service was shocking! We waited in line for over 10 minutes as there was only one person on the till on a Sunday, I thought maybe they have sickness and give them the benefit of doubt. Another lady came onto the till and had a laugh with the other colleague about forgetting to turn her headset on and didn't know she needed help, thought we might at least get a sorry for the wait but just got a very kurt next and that was it! I am all about customer service in my line of work but this was a joke! I get retail is hard but because of service like this people shop online.

Poor customer service over the phone. It was like I was talking to thugs. They were rude and kept cutting me off. You just get the feeling that they don?t give a s. Maybe they don?t. If that?s the case then they have 5 stars.

This place is average and ok i spose. Bit empty in the store but I reckon that's due to the sales.
No self-service tills are a bit crap but it's Eastbourne, so probs trying to limit the amount that was stolen. However, it didn't make my experience go any quicker.
Got some good laxatives, though. It will be a fun night tonight.

I was followed round the whole store by security, for absolutely no reason. I was just minding my business and going about my day. I then stopped to look at sanitary products, to which he stood there watching me. As a woman this was the most off putting and uncomfortable experience being gawped at by male security as I chose my products!! ? I obviously then went to the till and paid to which when I got to the counter shock he was behind the cashier watching me.

Told me to wait 20 minutes and then an hour later and still waiting outside in the cold.

They allways take so long here. Don't ever bother phoning, because they never ever pick up. It is quite literally quicker to walk there, and even if you have to walk home empty handed, its still faster than waiting for them to pick the phone up.
I went in today to get my wife's prescription. They said it's been done but it's hasn't been assigned a location, so she asked me to sit a wait 10 mins for them to find it. After half an hour, I went to ask on the progress and was told they are re dispensing it because they can't find it. I walked in and spoked to someone at 14.10, I walked out 45 minutes later.

New customer. I used to work in pharmacy. So, it's sad to see the service die. I wanted to switch from Tesco pharmacy and set up mobile texting. Had an urgent script sent here. But...cant speak to a human to check supply.
Doesnt answer phone. No matter which department. I guess the phone number is just there to fulfill a legal requirement, but it's a dud. No answer regardless of day or time.
Leaving work, closing my store and driving across town when a phone call should be the solution. Really shameful service.
I get the NHS is making cuts, but a counter assistant who also mans the phone doesnt break the bank. Must be that secret Boots formula that tells them how many man hours it takes to maintain a service. Then cut that by 95% and you have Boots' actual staffing level!

Went into the Boots opticians today, specifically to get my expensive Ray Ban prescription glasses repaired from which I had originally purchased. The store was busy. The polite gentleman took them behind the counter. I had sat down nearby. He then dropped them on the floor, shearing off the arm - clean, thinking I hadn't noticed. He then came over to me and said that these are not repairable, handing them back to me in a plastic wallet. I was lost for words and then he walked off. These cost me a small fortune as they are the best varifocals money could buy, even having the lighter lenses so that I could use them for my sporting activities. I have no spares, so will have to wear an older prescription from now on. Boots are a great disappointmenton this occasion.
