“I have used their services for over 30 years and for insurance. I am extremely happy with their services overall. Their insurance seems reasonable competitive. The staff are lovely and very friendly and would go over and above to help you.”

“I have had 2 letters recently explaining I've been listed for on line banking. Each time I've been into EB branch to request that this listing be removed, that I will NEVER do on line banking, end of story. My choice after all. 2 weeks ago, after my 1st letter, the lady accepted my CHOICE and Informed me that she had removed my listing. Evidently not, as I got the next letter and 2 messages. So I visited EB branch again today. Initially I spoke with Gary (I'm sure that's his name) I've long seen Gary in our local branch. A very affable, friendly chap who is always very professional. He is a great ambassador for Barclays Bank. Gary agreed, it is fine, I did not want to do on line banking, he agreed it was my choice. That I should wait to speak to the 'personal banker' which I did. Meanwhile along came a shortish lady, she asked if she could help, I explained, she proceceeded to BULLY Me! She was adamant that I may 'not have a choice in the near future', I explained I would then take my business to The Nationwide, where I have savings, that I will not be bullied into doing on line banking. She told me that I had 'interrupted her 3 times' I just kept saying that I was NOT going to do on line banking, because it's my choice. If the worst comes to the worst, I will keep my money under my mattress!I eventually spoke to the Personal Banker and she was very kind, informative and helpful.Meanwhile, the couple in the queue behind me, were also astounded at the little lady's attitude towards me.She really must try to curb her temper whilst dealing with elderly customers who know their own minds.I've banked at Barclays long before it was Barclays but was The Woolwich. I have never been treated so badly and in front of other customers. Today is the 8th March, I was in branch about 12MD. You will know which staff were on duty. I will not be bullied or treated like this again. I know there is no such thing as customer loyalty now by banks but I will take my business elsewhere if she or anybody is so intimidating towards me.Thank goodness it is the FIRST EVER occasion this has occurred to me in Barclays in Terminus Road.Julie AkersEastbourne”

“Debbie was amazing. I’ve recently lost my father and also dealing with a POA for another family member. Debbie took all the time needed, was courteous and showed genuine compassion for myself and my mother, as did the rest of the team. Thank you to all at the branch. You’re great. I cannot thank you enough.”

Please note, sainsburys have no control over the atm, any problems you might have, for example; card being 'swallowed up' you will need to contact your bank. Otherwise generally a good machine, does not give out £5 notes though.”
