Nice shopping

A note for the man in the Christmas jumper, working self checkout on Christmas Eve. I?m not your mate, I?m unlikely to ever be your mate. Mate is not an appropriate way to address a customer, even if you do feel that the job you?re doing is beneath you.

The woman with short hair who was working around 6pm 21/12/24 at the smoking products counter has the most stinking attitude towards customers and the most appalling customer service I have ever seen. Very rude talking to me, staring me down, unhelpful, loudly scoffing when I asked a question. I sincerely suggest that management does something about her as I have spoken to a few of my family and friends who shop at Asda and they all have their own negative experiences with this woman! .

What has happened to the Asda I once loved and adored :-). I go early morning 7am, to avoid the crowds, now I am just confronted with online pickers bashing into you, rubbish all over the floors, stock moved one week to the next. Worst of all the most miserable faced bunch of people I have seen in retail. The only person I ever get a smile from is a lady at the self checkout with short hair. I can't stand the faces of the women on the tobacco counter so have given up using it and go elsewhere. As for the food, third week running the shelves have been empty of chicken thighs, and ALWAYS check sell by dates.

I went to Asda in Eastbourne today to get a few bits for Christmas. I don?t usually do the shopping my wife does it. I asked a girl working there to help me find a few bits, she was so helpful, I asked her name it was Elysia . Nothing was too much trouble for her in helping me find the things I wanted. Thank you Elysia for making the dreaded Christmas shop a little easier .

Absolutely worst place for shopping and lack of customer service.
I don't mean all of staff here because some of them very nice and helpful but only one who always work at the shop at scratch cards she is very horrible people and really don't understand why she has to be rude to the customer by shouting and sometime ignored for service. We live in Habour and shopping at Asda all the time and this is not a first experience we have and not only with us because we have spoken with our friends who go shopping at Asda and they also disappointed for this service as well. We really hope one of Asda management team see my comments and improve for their services.

I was unable to order an item via click & collect today . I went in store to pick it up ( as stated available in store & on sale ) but none there. I asked at Kiosk /customer service was shut at the time and a very polite man came along named Ethan, he was very helpful, offering to check in store room and found one for me , even carrying it to the till for me ! So again a big shout out to Ethan for all your help !

I have recently moved to the area and what an amazing store this is with everything one could need..however having filled my trolley with both food household goods and clothes I was disappointed that out of all the staff available in the store only one server was working..the trolley stop was open the basket shop was open but I always feel that personal service is important so sadly you failed at the last hurdle

RANCID MEAT.
Purchased 3 packets of lamb chops for my wife's birthday meal. Each pack was well in date (by 3 days) but each was rancid and smelled absolutely foul.
I would give zero stars if I could.

The store is normally well presented, good selection, well stocked and very clean.
My last two visits, this morning included were slightly disappointing.
Today's visit I picked up sugar from the stack, there was sugar over the ones at the front so I chose one form the back. It poored out all in my basket over the items, checked the other packs and picked one I thought was ok but I soon found out I was mistaken. At the checkout where I realised this, an employee collecting baskets said to me, "Is this you?" I replied no it was the sugar....
On my trip prior I picked up a whole chicken which leaked all over my hands and ran down my arms inside my jacket, dripped onto my shoe which was unpleasant to say the least, I noticed 2x more were like this and picked up one where packaging was secure with no leakage. I sought out a staff member and explained to him what had happened and showed him my hands, which had blood from the chicken on. I told him it is all over my hands, there are a few like that up that isle and motioned to the isle. He half nodded and looked past me and then walked off. I stood there for a few seconds thinking maybe he was going to get some hand gel which is what I would have done in his postion or taken me to a colleague and asked about this, sadly not. There was no offer and I was left to seek out some myself. However he did appear to be seeking out colleagues perhaps to deal with the split packaging on the chickens - I hope.
I walked round and purchased some hand gel, something I had not planned on buying nor needed as I have plenty at home. These visits are the only reason I knocked off a star.
Apart from the two negative interactions staff here are pretty amazing. They are worth their weight in gold, store members, security and cleaners. They really do go all out to help customers.
I have interacted with many of the employees over the past 4 months (since moving to the harbour) and the experience (apart from what i mentioned above) has been incredibly positive. I have spoken about this with my colleagues, friends and family as it came as a shock. It is rare to find a store full of so many friendly, helpful, happy staff.
Security helped with directions and advice on my first trip to Asda. Cleaning staff always make me smile as they are so welcoming. They have made me smile and feel brighter on my days off while feeling quite low and stressed - nobody knows the difference a smile and a good morning can sometimes make to someone's day.
A lady, staff member, helped with installing the app on my phone on one of my first trips and explained about all the different products etc she was very knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. She was very patient and kind.
The staff make you want to come back, a credit to Asda.
On a whole the Eastbourne Asda is an extremely well run store, nice selection and very clean, highly recommended. The manager is clearly excellent at what he does to have so many happy employees.

The click and collect service is absolutely shocking. I had to wait half an hour for someone to come. They don't even bother to let you know if someone is coming or not and there is never any apology for the wait. It really is a shocking service and they need to put somthing else in place. I don't know why they took away the click and collect kiosk at that back of the store. So much simpler. Absolute joke of a service!!!
