It?s a real pleasure shopping in this store! I believe all the staff really help to exceed the reputation of service you receive in a Waitrose branch. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to help you with any queries. I think the lady on the meat counter (Jenny?) is amazing she?s very knowledgeable about the produce and I?ve even picked up a few recipe ideas after a good chat. The wine selection is by far the best in Crowborough and with Stephans wine expertise I?ve never been short of options for a good wine to pair with a meal. The only addition I?d ask for is that it would be nice to have some Caribbean seasoning options as it seems Sainsbury?s is the only store in town with this option.

My sister and I moved to Crowborough about 6 months ago and have been to Waitrose about 3 times and every single time we get followed by several staff members and the final time we just went in, we were approached at the till as my sister was putting the shopping away after it was scanned to check if we were stealing. This was unprompted and there several people around us that had their own bags that were never searched. They also checked to see if the drink I was holding had been paid for, despite the fact that the staff saw me go to self checkouts and buy it before we went shopping, I even had a staff member come over while I was paying to clear the age verification screen.
After we proved that we did nothing wrong, we were then spoken about on their headset mic and they also proceeded to follow us out of the shop. I would have understood if there was a reason but we did nothing to suggest otherwise and it's just disgusting that we were followed every time we walked into the shop. I strongly believe this was just because we had kids with us and that we were new customers.

Very poor response from one of the alleged Premier food supplies in this country, regular famiky shop and I bought some wild Alaskan salmon and on the day of eating ( full price !) I found a nasty worm inside the salmon and I made a complaint to Waitrose and their customer service response was to give me just a £10 voucher! Sent another email and said this is not acceptable as I had an upset tummy for 24 hours and had to cancel my work appointmentsand they came back and said we?re aren?t going to offer any more compensation . sorry this is not satisfactory! ?. Take care buying fresh fish from this place I certainly won?t be. Very sad response, I felt like they didn?t care that I?ve been sick from eating their fresh fish.

Always enjoy shopping here, never too busy and the food is great quality. The staff are always friendly and helpful when you ask for something. The food is not that expensive and indeed competitive for normal everyday items. Plenty of parking with 3 hours free

Generally very happy with my local Waitrose. .A couple of areas for improvement. Better procedures need to be adopted when opening checkouts so next person in queue gets served. The fresh bread quality is pretty poor. In my experience, regardless of the time that you shop, the ?fresh? breads are very hard which doesn?t seem to be as prevalent in other supermarkets?..
