Limited breakfast options, basic but tasty. Low price. Decent coffee.

The best fruit scones! And as Aussies, hubbie and I are pretty picky about our coffee and would happily recommend the coffee here. Easy street parking on a sunny Saturday morning and friendly service. What?s not to like about this little gem of a cafe?

A very friendly welcome - and the best cheese scones we have ever had, homemade straight from the oven!

We enjoyed tasty fresh panni?s for lunch today on our first visit to this lovely little cafe. Discovered the cafe while on a visit to the National Trust?s property?Bateman?s? Former home of Rudyard Kipling. About a 15 minute walk into the village from there where the cafe is situated. Great service and home made cheese scones were being made while we were there, so will try these if available next time we visit ??.

After reading the reviews about this charming tea room on our way to Batemans we stopped in and had a lovely lunch. The service was very good as was the food.
So instead of settling for a dry scone at the National trust cafe, treat yourself to a cream tea or something else from the menu that's made with a little bit of love.
Looking forward to coming back soon and filling out bellys.

Fabulous tea room! Popped in for morning coffee and then decided to hang around for lunch as we loved it so much. Delicious sandwiches and amazing, friendly service.

We stopped in this morning while we were on holiday, looking for somewhere for breakfast. We were made to feel so welcome with our dog before we?d even made it through the door! We had a lovely chat with the owner Julie and met her dog Cookie. We both had bacon baps to eat which were freshly cooked and delicious. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again!

Having visited Burwash many times, I was disappointed that I hadn't gone in for breakfast or a coffee before. Lovely place, a good sausage bap and a friendly atmosphere.

Since moving to Burwash, Blacksmith?s is our favourite! We?re quite frankly addicted to their paninis which we buy multiple times a week that come with a tasty side salad and the best crisps. Also have the biggest best bacon baps for breakfast! You can never go wrong with their brownies and sweet treats they have available and they?re just such a friendly team, always making you feel welcome and attended to even when they?re really busy. We were there most recently today and as always, the tastiest paninis, carrot cake, brownies and more. They also have the cutest dog who gives lots of love. Highly recommend visiting!
