Hot, small rooms with no air conditioning, tiny shower cubical and not great water pressure. We paid for an upgrade and i would hate to think what a room would be like without it as ours was no better that a room at the YHT hostel, also paid for an early check in only to be told when we got their that the room wasn't ready as lots of people had asked for a late check out! Best thing about the room was the service from the young lady doing the housekeeping, who was extremally polite and helpful. we had planned to stay again at the end of our trip but found the Staybridge suites which were much better.

I?ve been here before and as usual the reception staff are great at ?meet n greet? all smiles and very helpful, I had a room at the front on the first floor very clean and a comfortable bed. The food served here is of a good standard and delicious variety at breakfast, a great start to the day. I recommend a stay here anytime.

I spent five nights at this hotel very comfortable stay, room was very spacious and a good breakfast for the price. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the friendly welcome from the manager James who ensured room location was to my preference which I appreciated as I am a light sleeper. Their is a park with tennis courts and running lanes as well as bicycle friendly lanes.

Great friendly staff. Spectacular location. Parking available and cheap. £7 a day. It?s cheaper than many hotels and plenty of bus options to city. Enter. Don?t neglect the place but I have to tell you the negatives before you consider. The rooms cleanliness. First family room we got had smoking smell which came from previous guest. It was bad. No problem we changed it in 2 mins. The second room toilet smelled so bad and I think the last guy pissed everywhere in the toilet. I had to take wipes and cleaned up cause I wasn?t bothered to changed again. The breakfast is cheap at 9.50 per adult and kids are free. The problem is the food is preety bad Wetherspoon quality. But it?s convenient. If it wasn?t for cleanliness I would give it a four star. Maybe my bad luck.Rooms: Huge rooms well spread out for kids to runabout

Family room, upon arrival a cigarette packet was found next to our bed by our 3 year old. There were toe nail clippings on the bathroom floor. Multiple hairs found in the bed. Tea and coffee machine out of order when getting breakfast in the morning. Eating area far too small and was uncomfortably over crowded with several families having to queue for a table. It made breakfast feel very rushed and busy.

The whole hotel from carpark, reception, corridors, lifts and bedroom needs addressing. Restricted parking spaces which led to other guests that arrived later locking other vehicles in. Stains on sofa in reception that did not look inviting. Rubbish bags in hallways. Lifts needed a good clean. Windows were very dirty and probably hadn't been cleaned for months

Booked a last minute trip to Brighton and selected this hotel as the reviews were good and it has been recently refurbished. I?ll begin with the positives, the room was clean and spacious and we all slept well. The staff were very friendly and tried their best. Despite this though, we were disappointed with the dining experience. The children?s menu was mostly unavailable, they only had margarita pizza available across the whole menu and no children?s desserts! We ended up having to order an adult meal and spilt it between the children, which in the end cost us more money. Also, the meals came out at different times. My curry came out 10 minutes before my husband?s and children?s meals. Won?t be dining in the hotel again. Breakfast was tasty enough, but for the amount of people staying at the hotel, there were only 6 tables, so many people were waiting to be seated and the restaurant became very crowded.

Disgusting hotel.Stayed in a lot of travelodges across the UK and I?ve never had an issue. Yes you know what you?re getting but I generally find them very nice. This place was awful. Stayed in room 104. TV didn?t work, both chairs were broken, dirty bathroom and bed seemed like it was broken.Dirty old, broken ironing boards in the hallway, paintwork was damaged throughout and extremely loud through the night.Massive let down compared to the majority of others

When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Jayde at reception. We were a little early but she still let us check in which was great! She made it very easy ?? looking forward to the rest of our stay!

Check in was great, easy to book online, neat room and toilet. Unfortunately no hot water available during breakfast. Hopefully that will be rectified by the management. I still recommend the Lodge. My friends also enjoyed there stay apart from the hot water issue during breakfast

We stayed here the first week of August (7 nights). Our room was a family room on the eighth floor which was a fantastic size with great views over Preston Park, ideal to watch the Pride Concert on the Saturday night! The room was clean and tidy and I even liked the original Artex ceiling, took me back in time! Breakfasts were excellent, we also ate in the Bistro every night and the food was perfectly acceptable. We did have a couple of problems, IE food turning up not being what we actually orderered/ long delay on our last night despite the Bistro being virtually empty. My only real complaint about the food experience was that the cutlery, and to a lesser extent, the crockery was generally not clean. You need to address your dishwashing practices. Please excuse my nitpicking! The hotel has reasonably priced onsite parking, although as it is also a public car park, spaces are not guaranteed. I found a good parking space and left my car there all week. The hotel is ideally placed for either a 20/25 minute walk into town or there is a bus stop directly opposite, perfect!. All the staff that we encountered were fantastic (Even the grumpy cook! didn't catch his name) A big thank you to all of you. And so in summary, we really enjoyed our stay in this particular Travelodge and it was good value for money. We would/ will probably stay here again......

I think that hotel needs to be supervised and security test's because of the cleaning and the lift. Hair's on the shower. Tea spoon's full of rusty. Small staff for the size of the hotel. Same dishes weren't available because out of stock.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was immaculate. Bed was the best hotel room bed ever! Very comfortable pillows. Bus stop opposite the hotel takes you to the beach/shops in 10 minutes. Our only complaint was our noisy neighbours late at night. Would definitely recommend this hotel
