Unacceptable Customer Service:
Went to this store to quickly grab a bottle of water, arrived well before closing time ? about 5 minutes early. The door was already locked, and the staff inside just waved me off. I knocked, and she said the till was already closed and I couldn't make a purchase, not even through the self-checkout. Locking the doors early and refusing service before the posted hours is just bad customer service. Won?t be returning. Other staff are pretty good but that lady was very rude, and unprofessional. She shouldn't work there if she wants to close earlier and go home earlie, also she needs to learn some manners if she wants to work in customer service role.

Dear Tesco Express,
I am writing to express my disappointment following an experience I had at one of your Tesco Express stores this evening (around 21:30). I?m aware that the store closes at 22:00, and I entered knowing I still had time to shop.
When I arrived, there was another customer at the tills. I couldn?t quite tell from their conversation whether the store was closed, so I approached and politely asked if they were still open.
One of the cashiers, a young blonde girl named Lily, looked at her colleague, then back at me, and replied with a very blunt ?Yeah.? What made the situation uncomfortable was not just the tone, but the look of clear annoyance or even disgust on her face, as if I had interrupted something.
After a long day at work, this response made me feel embarrassed and unwelcome. I completely understand that staff may be tired at the end of a shift, but that?s no excuse for being dismissive or rude to customers, especially when the store is still open.
Having had a look at the other google reviews I can tell that this is not the first incident that customers are experiencing
I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I believe all customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of the time of day.

Don't bother trying to have conversation with the manager he doesn't take any responsibility for his staff and allows them to make large mistakes with no apology or investigation. Very disappointing.

Some very rude, ignorant day time staff (although there is one very kind one). Evening staff better. Shop is fine but staff couldn?t seem to care less. Not quite sure why this has never been addressed as it?s been like it for about 10 years.

Very disappointed. The store is very dirty . I use to take a coffe every morning from the Costa Coffee machine and there is very dirty around where the coffee comes out. I understand there are only old ladies working and they can not do much . But they still get paid for the job . Very very very disappointed

I went in to buy some icecream, low and behold there was feces smeared all up the handles. The smell was horrible and revolting, 10/10 Defo Shopping There Again

Staff very rude. Accused me of lying.I tried to buy a can of red bull, I'm nearly 50.I also purchased other items so my teenage son was carrying the can, they asked him for ID, didn't believe me when informed it was for me.I think maybe some customer training is due.
