Only got a 1 as 0 isn't an option. I cant judge the food as I didn't get any! I normally like Subways, one of the few chain food outlets I'll go to, but this one doesn't seem to want your service. I walked in at 10 to 11, asked for bacon, sausage, egg as they were there on the counter. Was yold I can't have that as it's breakfast. I'm thinking, yes, it's my breakfast but asked why? She said thats just for the breakfasts sandwich, so I ask for the breakfast sandwich. She said no, we're not serving breakfast (10 to 11 am!) So I asked why was it out if they're not serving it? She just shrugged. So stuff them, I'll eat elsewhere. No wonder the place was completely empty, should have been a clue. Subway, close this branch down, they dont deserve your reputation or support.

Visited for a quick and cheap lunch while in the area. The place felt a bit unloved but service good and had everything I needed. The new garlic and herb sauce was excellent too.

Insanely neglectful service.
I am celiac and I told the guy serving me this immediately and asked for a gluten free foot long.
He bought out a six inch.
I then asked if anything wasn?t safe to eat, he said all the toppings were fine, so I chose chicken tikka, cheese and fresh mozzarella, he doesn?t say anything about it not being gluten free.
He then toasts my sandwich and I realise he?s only making me a six inch, so I said ?sorry mate I asked for a foot long?. he gave me bad attitude for this as if I?d initially asked for a six inch and changed my mind. He then put next to no cheese on the other 6 inch.
I?m not the type to argue with staff so I left that.
Then when sorting out my salad, I asked for chilli sauce, he then put garlic on there which I wasn?t aware if this was gluten free, so I did say ?sorry but I wanted chilli, is that sauce gluten free? he said yes so I accepted it and kept it moving.
When paying I then doubled down and tried to confirm that everything was gluten free.
He said it was.
At no point did the man check these things.
Well long story short I?m now in absolute agony, checked the allergen menu myself, and the chicken tikka has gluten in there.
For me to ask multiple times, tell him from the get go I was celiac and for him to show me a bad attitude because of the 6inch / footlong thing, when he evidently wasn?t listening to a word I was saying, is wild.
Update: it gets worse. I called to complain about the incident as I figured this carelessness could actually cost someone their life so it was worth complaining about. The guy who answered was nice enough, offered me to come in for a free sandwich and said he?d speak to the boss. A few minutes later I get a call back and the guy is saying that the boss said chicken Tika is gluten free so there was nothing wrong. Well?. It isn?t, as you can see in their allergens list.
Unbelievable.

Tried to use a legitimate meal deal voucher. The server said the voucher was confusing, and he didn't understand it (2 meals for 8.99). When questioned said the manager didn't accept vouchers after 6pm. Not a condition of the voucher, nor communicated anywhere in store. Asked if manager could be questioned and they were conveniently not available. Total cheapskate dross, clearly lying. Really bad customer service.

Honestly, the food was basically fine (it's Subway, you know what you're getting) but can we talk about the guy who served me today? I'm not even 100% sure he worked there; he wasn't wearing a uniform, just a generic red hoodie, and didn't seem to understand the difference between chicken and turkey to start with. Also, I attempted to use a voucher which was perfectly valid and in-date, and only after paying did I realise that the guy just pressed some random buttons on the screen and charged me the full amount without doing anything, presumably because he didn't know how to process vouchers. The sandwich itself was also a bit of a mess presentation-wise, my man just could not care less about his work. I would give this branch a 2/5, but honestly, there are like three other Subways in Brighton, just go to one of those instead. It's the same food, and they might actually have employees with manners and a brain.

Very inept staff working here in the night shifts. Few times I've ordered from here, only to have either missing items, cold food or subs with the wrong toppings and VERY long delivery time, even for simple orders, despite living under 15 minutes away from the shop. (I know it's not the delivery driver's fault, because once they picked up the food, it usually arrived in under 10 minutes to my door)I'm done trying to give this place a chance to redeem itself, this is THE WORST Subway in Brighton and Hove. Avoid it like the plague! Still not sure how it managed to stay open for so long.

I was served by a very rude woman who did not have an ounce of respect in her. Was rushed along and made to feel like I was not welcome to purchase food from this store.There are many other subways in this area, try them instead and give this one a miss.
