Went back to get the heels fixed on a pair of leather boots bought 4 months earlier - which says a little about the quality of the heal - and the heal came back with a different shade (after 16 days). My options, 1,5 week more to see if they could fix or 10 pound discount. Went for the latter as I would have had to wait a month in total for my winter boots. So disappointing that I still had to pay for something that was very obviously not very well done. Done with this store and R&B shoes..

I have bought two pair of shoes with my friend in the store in London.. but one of the shoes 's leather had peel off where link to the heel. I only wore for one day.. so I went to the store in Brighton ask for new pair or refund.. the Store manager Mr Lance Taswer in Brighton were very rude to me as soon as he notice I asked for refund or new pair. and told me go back to store in London for refund.. not very nice feeling after I spend £185 for a pair shoes , the leather had peel off after wore for a day. the store manager in Brighton told me nothing wrong with the shoes. the different is because one is left foot and other one is right foot . due to the design , one of the foot 's leather should be able to peel off .. I could not believe what he said. I was not happy so I call the head of office. the guy is call Jonson. he tried to be helpful in the beginning but it did not take long for him turn into true face.. Jonson told me nothing wrong with the shoes but it is my standard to high.. !! and tried to tell me that I have no idea about the shoes. and teach me how to build a shoes.. to be honest, I spend £185 for a pair shoes. I just need good quality.. not the leather peel off.. I asked for money back.. but he did not want to give me the refund until I told him that I will go to court... Jonson has been very rude to me on the phone.. until I told him stop, otherwise I will recorded the phone call . it is not very nice feeling with Russesll & Bormley.. they are family run business.not sure how can they afford abused customer like that!!!

I was looking around for some smart shoes, and popped in here briefly to see if there were any styles that caught my eye. I saw fairly soon that is likely a little bit more expensive than I was hoping to pay, as I only wear trainers unless the situation calls for something a little less casual. However, while gazing through the myriad of handsome leather foot gloves I discovered something that really caught my eye... A small section for smart, leather shoes styled by trainer makers. There was a pair of Pumas there that were practically screaming for my toes, and I found it hard not to calculate whether or not I could afford the £60 they were asking for. Downstairs there's more of a women's section which I can't really comment on, other than to say that the high quality finish and high prices seemed to flow across the entirety of the store. Definitely a place to consider if you're looking for some high quality foot ware, and a place I'll be looking out for when I get too old to wear trainers...

There is no argument that this shop sells good quality classic style shoes - but they are just so expensive. For a good quality pair of work shoes I'd be prepared to pay a little bit more - but when it is just a basic looking summer sandle I don't really want to pay their prices. Shoes are usually £100+ That said I did treat myself once to a pair of shoes in here (I must have been feeling very flush !) and have to say that they were a particularly nice pair of shoes that did last longer than cheaper pairs. But they certainly weren't made to last for life ! Not sure if I could justify it again ! Shop is small and quite old fashioned - but the assistants are helpful. Styles are quite 'classic'. I only looked at the women's shoes - but think they also stock mens upstairs (I will stand corrected on this !)
