Best £90 I ever spent. Got a 1 year old cuddle bug 3 years ago now, rescued from a multi cat household. She was quite nervous when we got her home, but lots of helpful advice from the Cat Man in the cattery meant we knew to give her time, keep her inside, feed her her favourite food and be patient. She was underweight from her previous owner when we got her, but fattened right up. Loves her cat flap to the garden, and follows us from room to room wanting to be near us all the time. Couldn?t imagine life without her. Thanks to the RSPCA for all the work you do, protecting and saving animals and applying caution to potential adopters. Reading the negative comments here makes me wonder if people forget that not everyone in the world is suitable to be a pet owner, so I am glad that the RSPCA takes care to match animals to the people they need. Pets come first, people second!

Great branch. We adopted a couple of guinea pigs beginning of December. The staff obviously knew the animals in their care well, and relayed as much history of the pair as they knew. Great communication throughout the adoption process. Thanks for making it an easy and successful process! NB: to the staff - Ethel and Bernard have bonded well with our guinea, and settled in quickly.

Highly recommend the RSPCA Sussex North & Brighton Branch. The staff here are wonderful and the process in place to ensure a dog is united with its suitable human(s) is fantastic. There?s an application, a questionnaire, meet/greet/bonding sessions and pre and post homing visits just to make sure you and your new family member are correctly matched, you as the human know what having a dog entails and the dog is safe and well looked after. Thank you for uniting me and my other half with our wonderful pup ???

I found a tortoise on the road, asked the occupants if houses nearby couldn't locate the owner. As we couldn't look after the animal I contacted the RSPCA. They kindly took him in until the owner came forward to claim him.Had a brief chat and learnt a lot about tortoises. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, clearly passionate about reptiles.Thank you for your help looking after the old boy.

A few days ago we had a real scare when we thought our beloved Rankin's dragon had escaped and was running wild somewhere outside. The person we spoke to on the phone at the RSPCA Reptile Rescue was exceptionally kind, knowledgable, and helpful. We were given us lots of practical advice on how to encourage him back home if he was outside, and the calm way in which our questions were answered really helped to reassure us in a time when we were feeling very emotional and panicked, thinking we had lost our boy forever. Luckily, our little guy had been hiding indoors all along, and we found him after about 20 hours of frantic searching both inside and outside the house. We then rang up the RSPCA again to get some advice on getting him a suitable vet in the area who could take a look at him to make sure he hadn't hurt himself. Again, the person we spoke to on the phone was patient in answering our questions, and took time and care in listening to our concerns. The last few days have been very tense and emotional for us, but we feel so grateful to have had advice from people who clearly know and love reptiles; their expertise was invaluable and so reassuring, and we can't thank them enough for helping us get through a very stressful and scary experience.

Disappointed with the work staff at the reception today, after a long journey to reach the place of the shelter, we inform you of our general personal situation, which is perfect in order to be determined to get out of there with a new dog and give a new opportunity for a furry or at least see them and get closer, they give us all the excuses that may exist to ask for an appointment with the covid, I understood it but I was surprised if they were alone there was no one to adopt or ask for information. No collaboration to make a new adoption a reality, everyone remains seated in a chair (by chance we only saw a dog walking) we are the only people to visit that place and they are sitting in reception. It would be so difficult to make an effort for an animal to get out of there. a new place? Since we explained that we had the time they needed and we only wanted to adopt and give a new life to a dog, we did not go with preferences or color, size or age. Disappointed with the resolution inviting us to go to another protector if we are not happy with them. I hope the animals are treated better than we were treated today

I urgently needed their help and got cold responses and no follow-up assistance when they said they would offer it
