it's nice to have a posting facility within every community and this one serves its purpose, as well as provide other services such as insurance etc. however, there are often huge queues which go past the main doors, which means a lengthy wait to be served. there are usually only two booths manned which adds to the delay. generally, the staff have been quite unhelpful when i have made enquiries about the best option to go for in the emergency of needing a speedy postal service. this post office branch seems to lack the community spirit of village branches and the unwilling and unenthusiastic staff deter me from ever wanting to post a parcel again. some members of staff are sour-faced and give off a vibe that they are sick to death of looking at your face when you say you have a few parcels to post. one lady started yawning profusely when dealing with my transaction and i felt quite inclined to lob the contents of my bag at her head for such appalling and rude manners. guess there's always online services available nowadays, although, i do feel sorry for the more senior members of this community if they do have to put up with this shoddy and shambolic customer service.

This small post office is handy if you live in the Seven Dials area, and although not big, you'll find a full range of services (including banking and a cash point), plenty of staff and quick service. Recommended.

It's tucked away off the main shopping area of Dyke Road, but it's a great facility for the area, offering a full range of postal and other services. There are often queues, but they seem to go down reasonably quickly, and staff are pleasant. It's a lot tidier and better organised than a lot of Post Offices these days. They also sell a small range of stationery and other ad-hoc items such as end-of-range DVDs. There is also a useful cash-point outside (which often has money when others have run out, eg on Bank Holidays). As George123 says, use it or lose it!

A much needed service. In this day and age everyone needs to use their post office or face losing it. This post office is situated in a much needed place. This service is not sexy or cutting edge but nerverless at one time or other one will need to use it. Where would you go to post a parcel if this type of business was not around?

It seems odd reviewing a Post Office, since they are so ubiquitous, but this office in Seven Dials is useful to know about if you're in the area, but easy to overlook, since for some odd reason it is tucked off Dyke Road, the main shopping thoroughfare. It's in quite a handsome building in a quiet residential street - Melville Road is opposite the Co-op, which is next to the 'Good Companions' pub. It's what they used to call a Crown Office, ie now owned by Post Office Ltd, and so offers the full range of postal services, insurance, savings accounts etc., as well as providing a small range of stationery. It also has a 24hr cashpoint - useful to know about if the others in the area run out of money, which they seem to do frequently. Staff are friendly and seem to know all their customers, but service can be a little slow at times - but then, friendly chatter is a dying art these days, so perhaps I shouldn't complain. And it is the only one in the area, so it's a case these days of 'use it or lose it'.
