Feliz was absolutely AMAZING during my wax today! It was my first appointment with her and she was so friendly, reassuring and had me done and out within 20 minutes! I booked to see Feliz after seeing her other amazing reviews and she absolutely lived up to it! I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back to see Feliz again ? Thank you!!

It pains me I?m unable to rate this business zero stars.
I can?t think of another person least deserving of anyone?s custom and money than owner John Prowse.
Put aside the fact this place smells like a mouldy toilet due to what appears to be a leak from the floor above, it also looks like a low end nail shop. We and another couple also had to wait 10 minutes for a therapist to finish what they were doing and come speak to us at the front desk, as there was no receptionist.
In January, I booked a voucher through Activity Superstore for a 60 minute ?luxury? couples massage at Mermaid. This was a Valentine?s Day surprise for my partner. We had our booking confirmed by Activity Superstore weeks in advance so we turned up for our treatment having travelled across two counties on the train only be informed by staff we had no appointment booked.
One of the therapists rang the owner, John who was very rude from the beginning and clearly could not care less. He simply told us Activity Superstore did not make the booking which was later proven to be a blatant lie. There were not enough therapists for a couples massage so we had no choice but to leave.
Having reached out to Activity Superstore, they sent me copies of the email exchange between their staff and John (as shown on screenshots) clearly showing that John himself confirmed our couples treatment has been booked by him. Clearly he has incredibly poor manners as also demonstrated in his response to them stating ?read the email trail, I already confirmed it?s ok?.
To then have the guts to be so rude to us and defiant, offer no apology, show no signs of customer service skills and blatantly lie to our faces was bad enough. Unfortunately when I asked John to put this right he topped it off by saying complain to Activity Superstore. Despite there being absolutely no fault on their part and the blame lying entirely with this man.
Bravo John, you could not have handled this is a more appalling fashion! Please work on your customer service skills and do your job properly. It?s not hard to enter someone?s appointment in the books.
EDIT AFTER OWNER?S RESPONSE:
Read your own emails. You confirmed the booking and asked for nothing further from Activity Superstore. Clearly the next step was for us to show up on your doorstep. At which time you pretended on the phone you had no idea of any booking made for us. I recorded the conversation on my own phone, shall I post that too?
Won?t put you in a good light. Your tone was despicable. It?s entirely irrelevant what percentage of your bookings are from Activity Superstore. If you wrote the booking is confirmed you have to honour it. Again.. you are incapable of taking any responsibility for your own failures despite there being no one else to blame but you. Very juvenile.

I am writing of behalf of a student who came into your salon on Sunday 31st of March to get her face waxed. You burned her face and when she rang to speak to the manager who did not speak English who passed the phone onto her husband who hung up and said to go and report it to the police. The top of her forehead if burnt. Is this how you treat customers?? She is a young lady studying in Brighton but was treated really badly. I will put a complaint in with the NHBF to report how rather then resolving the situation you are not only rude but not offered a solution. How can you still be open??

Terrible experience. I paid £79 yesterday for a Hydrafacial that has left me with dark bruising on my face - see picture. To make matters worse, the salon was extremely rude when I called to complain.I sent an email with pictures and called to complain. A woman picked up the phone and I explained the situation. As soon as I said I wanted a full refund, a man who said his name was John took the phone, became instantly aggressive on the phone, told me this was ?normal? and when I explained it was not normal (I?ve been having hydrafacials for years), he told me it might be ?a problem with my skin?. I said I was extremely disappointed and he said ?you can be as disappointed as you like?.When I pushed for a refund, the woman on the phone told me that the boss was away and she would give me a 50% refund ?out of her own pocket?. I said it shouldn?t be from her pocket, it should be covered by insurance. The man said ?we?re not talking about what insurance we have?.Extremely unprofessional. The therapist who gave the treatment was really lovely, and I don?t think she did this deliberately, but my face is bruised regardless. I have received no apology from the clinic, and was treated appallingly by the man on the phone. I still demand a full refund for the other 50% of my payment. It?s safe to say these are NOT luxury facials and this salon cannot be trusted to provide any service - take your money elsewhere.

Horrible experience.Would not recommend.Was told to ?make sure I come for 3:30?. On arrival, I had to wait half an hour because apparently the other appt was supposed to finish at 4.Absolute shambles. When spoken to the manager, extremely rude. On my insistence, they finally agreed to take off £4 from the bill even though they should have offered to take money off from the bill, at least 50%. No people skills. Would rather have the bushiest eyebrows than come here.Reply to owner?s rude response:1) What do you mean I asked to come at short notice? You were open till 8 so I asked if you had any appointments and you rang me back to say that you can do 3:30 but I should be on time.2)I understand she has childcare issues, not sure how I delayed that. I came on time as you told me I am her last client so I did not want to delay her getting home.3)When I came, after 5 mins she said can I come back at 4, which I think is unprofessional when you have booked an appt.I asked her how long she would be she said few minutes. If she had said half an hour I would have not waited but I was told few minutes. The I asked her at 3:47 how much longer and she said few minutes. There was a customer there getting a manicure so you can ask her if you well.4) You have to pay your employee their due wages that is not unusual. Regarding the service, you asked me if I had it and I said yes, you didn?t ask me if I thought it was fine or great.5) Lol I already said I would not return so not sure what the whole banning thing is for.Not once did you apologise for wasting half an hour of my time. I also have a young child and I had to arrange childcare to be able to come. It?s not nice to waste someone?s time and not once even offer an apology.The lady who did my eyebrows was nice and did apologise.

Lovely therapists and relaxing place. Really highly recommend. Feliz is amazing for massages and waxing and Juliet is excellent for waxing too. Had a lovely facial with privilege and will definitely be back!

My experience with Dr. Anna was much better than I could have expected. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have my forehead wrinkles treated, but she was so reassuring and professional that I felt comfortable throughout the entire thing. Looks much better now, and I'm really happy with how everything turned out. She was very experienced and careful and I highly recommend her, she made the whole thing seem so easy and quick, don't know why I was nervous. Will definitely go back soon for my crow's feet!

I went to get teeth whitening with Dr. Anna and everything was magnificent!! It was quick, painless and my teeth are looking much whiter now!! If you are thinking of getting teeth whitening i recommend Dr. Anna she was great!!
