They refuse clients to bring their own reusable garment/suit bags to avoid plastic. Terrible welcoming too. Avoid and go to a dry-cleaner that actually is carefully about consequences of his activities on the environmentService: Delivery

I took a dress to be cleaned and a dress to be repaired. I was told to collect the following week. When I arrived I collected the dry cleaning but the dress repair wasn?t ready, I paid for the dry cleaning and I was told to go back a couple of days later to speak with the seamstress about the dress repair. I did this but the seamstress wasn?t in so I discussed with the man and another lady what should be done. I was told to come back the following week. I arrived on the Saturday hoping to collect the dress and wear it out that night but it still had not been done. I asked when it would be completed and the lady said she didn?t know , but to let her know when i needed it and I kept telling here I needed it now! She promised to call me when it would be ready and they did. A few days later, When I went to collect it they said it was going to be over £50 . I nearly fell over as the lady had told me not more than £27. I realised that she was charging me for the dry cleaning too which I explained I had already paid on collection. She argued with me that I hadn?t , I said I would check my bank account and went to pay again and when she tried to ring it in , it wouldn?t let her. She started blaming everyone else! But she could see that I had paid!Even so, really rude, unorganised and £38 for a new hem on a dress is the last straw for me as I won?t be using them again! Especially waiting nearly 3 weeks for it!Services: Alterations

Took brand new dress to be pressed for our 30th anniversary party cost £16 when I collected it the lady was complaining to me that she wasn?t going to take mail order dresses any more as it was to much aggravation, well obviously that is your job the dress was still quite creased when I picked it up. After wearing the dress to our party I took it to another dry cleaners in saltdean and they cleaned and pressed the dress for £11 and did a great jobService: Clothes pressing

Charged me twice and ruined my suit, shame as i'd hoped to make this my regular dry cleaners. Took in a suit to be cleaned (only issue was a small mark on sleeve). Was told i'd be rung the next day when it was ready, I wasn't - went down to collect it at 3.30, shop was closed, early. When I did get my suit the next day not only had the mark not been cleaned (no effort was made as I was able to do it myself with a damp cloth), but the whole suit was lumpy where it had been poorly pressed. When collecting the suit (different lady to drop off) I was told it would be £17.50 - I immediately replied that I had paid on drop off to which she told me "No, we never do that, you've got it wrong", several times I protested that I had paid. She was so firm that I was questioning my own sanity and memory so paid again. After tracing my bank transactions I confirmed that they had charged me twice. When going back for a refund, the same lady who'd double charged me mere hours ago said I needed proof and that she didnt remember me...I reminded her that I was the person adamantly protesting that I'd already paid, to which she said "do you know how many peopleI serve?" - what and all of them protest that they've been charged twice?? I would have thought that was stand out unless you make a regular habit of doing this. Was thoroughly unapologetic and reluctantly asked the guy out back if she could issue a refund (bare in mind just the second payment not a complete refund I was entitled to for not cleaning my suit or the £500 I was entitled to for ruining my suit). The guy looking as confused as me said "obviously, just give him his money back".Poor organisation, poor communication, poor service, poor me paying £35 to have a suit ruined.

Took in a £200 jacket to be dry cleaned. Received it back and it?s covered in scorch marks where it?s been ironed. Shiny patches all over and the zip is all bent. Tried calling non stop and no answer

Paid a relatively high price to have 3 or 4 holes repaired between two jumpers, went to pick up at date agreed, not yet done so was informed I would be called when done. Waited weeks, went back and was told they had been done but I wasn?t informed. Jumpers were also cleaned without my agreement so price doubled. Holes repaired to poor standard. Will not be using this service again.

Bought my puffer coat in to be cleaned, and was told it would be out in a washing machine and then tumble dryed. Came back a week later to see the coat was still filthy and not cleaner at all, nor did it smell clean. Went back to and asked the method they cleaned it and the lady had a bad attitude and tried to tell me the stains were ingrained and she had spot cleaned it twice, as well as saying I should go somewhere more expensive if I wanted it to come out cleaner. She also made a comment under her breath about me when she went to the back of the shop, which was unnecessary as I was nothing but polite. Came home and cleaned it myself to find one of the stains came out with a nappy wipe, and therefore I believe the coat had not been touched at all. Spent £15 for nothing to be done.

I was hit by a car whilst wearing a full length cream fur coat. The collar, sleeves and front got covered in blood and (when I came to) I was devastated about possibly losing the coat that took me so long to find. My dad sent it to Kemptown Dry Cleaners, and at first they were dubious about taking it, but when my dad explained what had happened they said they would try their best. I got it back a few days later as good as new and I was ecstatic. I took flowers to the owner one afternoon and she came out from behind the counter eland hugged me, saying she was so pleased I was alright. A wonderful service and I have recommended to everyone!
