Great location right next to the train station - you literally walk into the station and out the other side. Unfortunately, my Google maps failed to explain this, so it look me a while to find the hotel :) Check-in was swift and I was pleased to find out that I'm a gold member and got 10% off all food and drink. Nice breakfast with lots of options. Lovely sized room with a decent bathroom and very quiet. I'd definitely come back if I visited Brighton again.Walkability: 20 minutes to sea front

Loved our stay here! Remember to use the back exit of the train station following the signs for taxis behind platform 8 to get there. It?s a couple of minutes walk on flat ground along Stroudley Rd - great because we had a lot of luggage to wheelPros:Convenient - virtually adjoining the train station and close to the Laines.Service - interactions with staff were consistently friendly and efficient. Just a great team it was a pleasure to be thereSpace - the reception / bar layout is good there?s even a decent remote working sectionCons: only minorThe lifts - seemed to be consistently out of action while we were there, although there was always one running. The room levels don?t have indication of the current floor or direction of lifts which means you need to ask ?going up?? like the old daysThe key cards - seemed to need reprogramming after any brush with a cell phoneBreakfast - was a bit hectic at peak times. Not bad, but not the quality level of other aspects of the hotel

The people at the reception, at breakfast and at the bar were excellent. However, they do not tell you in advance about the parking arrangements. Since there is no obvious place to park when you get there, I had to park in front and get out of the car to ask at the reception and while I was doing so, I got a parking ticket. Unbelievable! Our room wasn't available for a few hours after we got there, which was already a few hours after it was supposed to be available, and they offered us a cup of coffee. They begrudgingly offered drinks when I insisted. The keys to the doors, which are like plastic credit card, were deactivated after every use. Since you couldn't take the elevator up to your room, get into your room or get anything in the room to work without a key, it was a MAJOR inconvenience. To add insult to injury, they receptionist made it seem like it was your fault for putting the key in contact with a cell phone or metal item (like no one has those things in their pockets). It was a major pain.Housekeeping was very poor. Most of them did not speak any English, or very little, so it was difficult to interact with them. They did not do the room one day and another day, after making up the beds, they left the pillows on the floor.Lastly and most gallingly, after all that, they make you check out online for speedy exit. You do not get a receipt. I have asked for my bill twice and when I asked for the second time, they impatiently replied that they had forwarded my request to the proper department who would reply ("Kindly note that we have forwarded this to the appropriate department and we will get back to you as soon as we have received a response from them."). That was 10 DAYS AGO and I have heard nothing from them since that time.Providing a bill for services is a legal obligation that they appear not to be aware of or care about.A little piece of advice: if your look at their website and think you are booking at the property on the beach front, make sure that there is no confusion. The website showed all signs that this was where we were booking and we ended up behind the train station up a very long hill, which did not do my 84-year-old mother any good.BUYER BEWARE!Regards,Granville Fields

The hotel room, service, and location are great. Friendly staff. Just walkable from the railway station. I may suggest the hotel management add a few more Breakfast items. The hotel does not have a parking space. But You have NPC parking just opposite the hotel.Note:This is not about the hotel, but the road where the hotel is situated is a private road for only taxis run by railways(I think). No other vehicle should enter even for pick up and drop off. What in the world would be appropriate?? If anyone had their car,How would anyone drop a mom who has young children? What would senior-aged people do?What about specially-abled people?Even the sign boards and warnings are not on a big board and are easily noticeable. I am sure anyone would easily miss this and end up paying a penalty of £100. The local council or railways earn a lot in this way of life. I could see so many poor travelers' cars (not a taxi) passing through in just an hour.I would suggest the hotel to inform the guests who are booking online or on the phone.Thanks. Beware be aware. ?

The best hotel you can stay near Brighton Railway Station. Just a 5 minutes walk from the platform. We stayed for 2 nights. We were very much satisfied on our stay. Service provided and cleanliness must be appreciated. All staffs were very friendly and ready to help. The head chef came to chat with us and offered special dishes for our kid. We are 100 percent happy. I recommend this hotel to everyone who visit Brighton.

Location is great but the station. Parking is expensive. Discount no discount there is a 10-20 per day charge for car parking depending on the day. If you come by train it?s perfect. The rooms are comfy. Reception is great and super friendly.Breakfast! Great atmosphere but the food is ok. Coffee machine is terrible! Again friendly staff and everyone is happy.10min walk to city center. Safe and downhill.

I had a wonderful stay at the Leonardo Hotel Brighton. The hotel was incredibly family friendly, and the exceptional service made our trip even more enjoyable. A standout moment was when they generously provided complimentary milk for my baby, showcasing their thoughtful and caring approach. The experience truly exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Nice enough room. Shame about the car parking system and cashless bar. We planned to travel by train to meet family who had come down from Gatwick airport. Unfortunately Sunday engineering works meant we had to drive. We parked in the car park opposite and paid, using the QR Scan in the car park for the maximum allowed, 7 hours. When we checked in the reception said we should have paid using a scan at the desk, and they would help us. When our initial time ran out we went to the lady at the desk, tried to book for 2 days. When we ran into difficulties the lady tried, couldn?t help and said it wasn?t the hotels system. At 7 pm we finally paid for 2 full days that ran out at 3 am? Work that one out. My other gripe is the bar doesn?t take cash. We only had one round of drinks there because of this, and they lost a fair amount of business from our group of 5. The hotel was good value for the price we paid. The room was a decent size. We had to have our cards reprogrammed 3 times in our 2 days stay, and I know to keep the room card away from my phone. It?s about a 20 minute walk to the town centre and less into the North Lanes.

Alesys preferred hotel in Brighton. Well located, good co working area. Front desk could not have been more helpful. Early check is after a very early flight made all the difference. Rooms modern and comfortable.

If you coming to Brighton by train, this is the perfect place to stay as it is literally next to it. Great valve, great rooms, very comfortable beds, great breakfast, very clean and lovely staff. Would definitely return.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have experienced. For the cost of the hotel, I expected far more. We had a 2 night stay. Never again at this hotel. The hotel front and reception look modern, but once you enter the room, it?s a different story. The room was tired and worn. The whole bathroom needed to be completely renovated. Firstly, my daughter was going to bed and found a dried bloodstain on the top sheet. I removed the sheet only to find a disgusting blood stain on the mattress protector. I phoned down to reception and explained the problem. I was told someone would be up immediately to change the sheet and protector. After 10-15 minutes, we were still waiting, so I phoned again only to be told to wait another 5 minutes. When someone eventually turned up, he had a quilt cover instead! He told me the reception staff were useless. Not a vote of confidence! I showed him the stains and he agreed it was totally unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. He took the stained items with him. I told him to show the manager and that I wanted to make a formal complaint. He agreed he would pass on my comments. He came back with a sheet but no mattress protector as he couldn't find one. By this time, all we wanted to do was sleep in a clean bed. The second night, the adjacent room was occupied by some lads. Very loud and boisterous. They had the TV on full blast. The sound insulation between the rooms was poor. There was a connecting door. They eventually went out at 11.30pm but left their TV on. We tried to sleep through the noise but was too difficult to do, so at 2-45am, I phoned down to reception again to complain about the TV being left on. When the reception finally answered after a long while, I was told 'we'll try and do something about it'. The lads eventually returned, turned the TV off but spent the next couple of hours being loud and rowdy. As you can expect, it was a very poor night sleep for us all. Having filled out the survey asking about my stay, I received an email from Fiona the duty manager, who said ?Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of?. This seems to be the standard copy and paste reply they send to anyone complaining about the hotel. I was told they will aim to respond to my email within 5 working days. After 28 days, 2 emails and a telephone call to Fiona chasing a reply to my complaints, she very thoughtfully called me at 7.30pm. No apologies for the appalling stay. But an offer of 25% for my next stay! She seemed quite offended when I declined, telling her that I would never stay there again. In my opinion, this is NOT a 4 star hotel. There are plenty of better hotels out there who actually care about their customers. Finally, Leonardo Brighton, please don?t copy and paste your usual reply ???.earn back your trust?.? NO CHANCE!!!

We had booked to stay on the eve of Brighton Pride, with three of us staying in a triple room (double plus single). We were able to check in early for no additional cost and the hotel had applied a decent level of decoration to the lobby and bar area to recognise and celebrate the significance of the Pride festival. Nice clean room, decent breakfast, welcoming and accommodating staff. Only minor negatives that eliminated the 5* score were multiple bird poop on the window of our room, the supplied toiletries whilst ok were a little meh, and both the lift doors and front door of the lobby graunching and needing maintenance. Highly recommended, nice modern facilities and conveniently located adjacent to the train station.

Hotel was average, the food on the evening was OK but in terms of service no-one seemed to be bothered. not rude. They were doing a job and made it clear they really didn't want to be there. Positive was Location - A1. Park in the railway carpark right outside, reasonable price, and 5 minutes walk maximum to the main centre.
