If there's a long line of customers waiting to get into this establishment, then you know you're in for a treat. That said, I can comfortably say that Goemon Ramen Bar delivered in every facet. The service staff are impeccable. Not only are they polite and friendly, but they are ready and knowledgeable about the menu items. If you're new to Japanese food, you'll be in good hands. Just ask them if you need any pointers!Next up: the taste. Oh man, was the wait worth it! I ordered two pork baos and the chicken shoyu ramen. Tasty? Try again. It was out of this world! The food also came out speedily. So don't worry about needing to wait long for your food! After finishing my original order, I just had to see what else they could cook up. I ordered the pork gyozas, which came with its own savory umani sauce. Or rather, the sauce left you thinking "ooh mami" because it'll surely hit you with those childhood memories. I finished the evening with the green tea ice cream. A perfect end to this incredible taste of Japan in Brighton.I believe this establishment deserves more credit. It's clear that the food is made and delivered with care. Note, the portions are little small compared to mainstream competitors like Wagamamas, but its still definitely worth supporting. The price point is quite good for the quality of the food. I highly recommend you checking out Goemon Ramen Bar.

An amazing place with genuinely beautiful food! Me and my partner visited for dinner for our anniversary just gone - the first visit since pre-COVID - and it was, if anything, better than we remembered.I got an 8 piece takoyaki (I did want the gyu tan, but it was out of stock!), a large spicy chicken bowl; my partner got a bali salad and a spicy chicken bowl, and we shared a serving of shrimp gyoza. All of it was cooked to perfection, and they do without doubt the best takoyaki I've ever tried. The staff are super helpful, super attentive without being overbearing in any way. Super friendly!!!Word of warning: its a SMALL PLACE, so don't expect to bring a large group with you (3 at most)Vegetarian options: Has plenty of vegetarian options to choose from, so a vegetarian should find something they'd like on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Unless you've brought a child up on the flavour palettes here, there is nothing on the menu that they will eat. Maybe the kara-age? And that's stretching it a bit. Also, it's not the sort of environment a kid would feel too ay home in - very cramped and loud.Parking: It sits on a side road with double yellows, so parking is a no-go unless you find somewhere further afield to park.Wheelchair accessibility: There's literally not a lot of room for a wheelchair in this place, as it it seriously a cramped space - there's only room for maybe fifteen people - so unfortunately you might have to ring in advance to check this out.

Ginger ramen is the one I chose and enjoyed it immensely. And the chilli paste sauce! Excellent

Absolutely delicious and authentic Japanese ramen joint. A good ramen is judged by its broth and let me tell you this one is to die for both the shoyu and the miso based broths were delicious! We had the Tokyo Tonkotsu and the spicy Tonkotsu ramens, one with thin noodles, one with thick. Both absolutely incredible! We also had tsukemono as a starter and it was lovely and exactly what we needed at the time. The portions are really generous as well! One thing to bear in mind is that you cannot book a table, so you'll just have to rock up and hope that you'll get in.

Absolutely incredible. Came across this restaurant almost by accident, we had tried to go to one up the road but it was too full and then I found Goemon. So pleased I did.To start with we had our 1 year old with is and they were great at helping us push the damn stroller through the door and got our little one a high chair. The menu choices all sounded amazing but my wife chose the Miso Butter Ramen and I had a rice bowl with Fried chicken coated in soy sauce. The food was so so amazing, I love that you could choose a portion size so my medium bowl was enough to feed me with offerings to my little and the wife! The service was brilliant and the staff were so so friendly, loved the atmosphere. I just have to apologise for my baby excitedly screaming for food a couple of times, she loved it that much too ?10/10 experience and will definitely be going back.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu was offered but they did provide a high chair for our 1 year old.

I came with my two of my friends, one of them japanese, we all ordered the same ramen and were all equally disappointed, the ramen we ordered had nice presentation but sadly, that's all I can say. I ordered the veggie tantan because I loved it when I ate it in Tokyo and was looking forward to being able to eat it again, however I was disappointed with the lack of authenticity shown, it tasted like pasta, the broth was more of a sauce and it left a bad feeling in my stomach for the rest of the day. As a chef myself if I made it I wouldn't be able to bring myself to call it tantanmen.Vegetarian options: It was a disappointing vegetarian option that felt like it had no effort put into it.

Good selection of food and all that we ordered was very good. The pork broth was quite think which as nice but not what I am used to. The fried chicken was just that - nice and crispy but a bit bland. Ramen was great.Service was efficient and prices were reasonable - so do go here over any of the large chain restaurants, by comparison you won't be disappointed.

Great place to have Ramen in Brighton.Visited as a group of 4 around 7:30pm on a Saturday night. Had to wait around 40 minutes for a table which concerned us as they say they close at 830pm - which seems extremely early for a restaurant on Preston Street. They allow customers to finish their meal but the bill was delivered a little earlier than I would of liked.Food and drinks were great. Lots of authentic Japanese options. The Takoyaki in particular was the best I've had outside of Japan.Meal was around £120 for 4 people but we ordered lots of appetizers. No one felt ripped off.Authentic. Good food. Just let us book a table though, no one likes a queue.

Our travel to Brighton was worth it! Their ramen is perhaps one of the best in Southeast England - and the cheapeast!Their broth is incomparable to others. You will definitely taste it?s authenticity. Please don?t order the small ramen as you will crave for more. Their side dishes are small in servings but it?s what you expect for what you pay.Staff are generally helpful and they will ask you to order via a QR code on your table. Please be there before they open up as the line gets long - that?s how popular Goemon in Brighton are.

The ramen was great - among the best ones I have tried in my life. Both Tonkotsu ramen and Tokyo ramen were delicious and the difference between them existed but was not too big. The marinated egg was superb and had very good taste to it, much different from just a regular egg. The small portion of ramen is really small and I would not recommend ordering it unless you are not hungry at all. The medium size portion is the sweet spot you are looking for. Kim chi was a bit below expectations and plum wine was good. Staff was welcoming but could not advise on ramen size compared to other ramen places

This restaurant was absolutely amazing, the best ramen I?ve had!!We had to wait approximately 20 minutes to get a table, but it was torally worth it.The only downside was that, it was very busy. Therefore we were kind of rushed out when we were close to finishing our meals.

We came at only 5 minutes after opening for lunch and we're lucky to grab one of the 2 tables left!We ordered via the QR code on our table (but we're also asked if we wanted to order via a person if we preferred) and that was nice and easy. The food was delicious! The gyoza were so crispy and the dipping sauce very tasty. The ramen itself was amazing! I had the Tokyo tonkotsu and I've never had a flavour like it, it was delicious (and so filling). The service was very friendly and quick, especially considering that every table was full!

I?ve been here many times and loved it every time. I get the soymilk ramen and takoyaki along with other things. The food is really good, flavourful and authentic. As well as a friendly staff and quick service. Compared to other Japanese places on Brighton, I consider this the best as they consistently deliver delicious food at a good price. Looking forward to coming back again!

We all loved our ramen, bao buns and rice bowls. The spicy chicken bowl I had was one of the most delicious things I've eaten full stop. £60 for 4 Inc drinks, excellent value. Staff efficient and genuinely friendly. Place has a really relaxed vibe and the music was great too. Very highly recommended.
