I went to see Bekka for a colour correction (some uneven and too-warm highlights). During the consultation I felt confident that she could help. Unfortunately my hair was severly damaged at the appointment, and two months later it remains absolutely wrecked.
Following the appointment my hair was breaking off in chunks. It was completely burnt. Despite washing my hair less regularly, not using any heat on it, using Olaplex 0, 3, 7 and 8 as well as Kerastase anti hair fall shampoo, conditioner and mask, and getting a water filter for the shower, my hair continues to fall out at a traumatising rate. Every time I apply a product I am left with a handful of hair. It is at the point where my hair is so thinned, and continuing to fall out, that I am worried that I will soon have bald patches.
I contacted the salon and Bekka offered to do a complimentary Olaplex treatment and a trim. My hair was so severely damaged I did not feel one Olaplex treatment would fix it, and so I wanted to speak to the manager. I went into the salon a couple of times but the owner wasn?t there. When she did reply to my email she said that the risks were explained to me ? something that unequivocally did NOT happen. I very explicitly explained at both the consultation and the appointment that my immediate hair need was to balance out the brass and even out the colour, not to be blonder immediately. If any mention of damage had been made I would have asked for an all over colour or a toner.
In my email to the owner I requested my money back. I knew the damage was going to be costly, and I had paid money for a service that caused damage to my hair. I also did not want to return to the salon for any further treatments with Bekka. I was thoroughly traumatised by the experience, and the trust was obviously broken.
The owner offered the Olaplex treatment and a toner and said that as Bekka is self employed there?s nothing more she could do.
I have spent around 3 times the cost of the appointment on hair products and still my hair is brittle, dry, won?t hold colour properly, is thinned out and has jagged sections everywhere from where it has snapped off.
Do not use this salon. Bekka severly damaged my hair and both her and the owner shirked responsibility, basically blaming me for what happened by saying risks were explained to me, and offering a ?solution? that wouldn?t even come close to restoring my hair to its previous condition.
A costly, amateurish and completely shocking experience.

Maya was amazing ? I had build in a bottle and she explained the process, was very kind about my nails and nail beds as I?m a chronic worrier and biter, and used her perfectionism to creat me a beautiful set of nails. She only extended the ones that needed it to create a gorgeous even set which gave me great confidence for an up coming job interview. I smile every time I look at them and will definitely keep it up as they are joyful!

LOVE this salon - the vibes are immaculate. There's no salon quite like it in Brighton and Hove. The team are all so lovely and the salon itself is so beautiful. Shannon always does an amazingggg job of my hair - she just ALWAYS understands the assignment and her blow dries are unmatched - I always come out of the salon with the bounciest, silkiest hair ? ????? 5 stars from meeee!

Shannon is a brilliant hairdresser I have been going to her for a long time and followed her to her new salon. I have very fine hair and she knows exactly how to deal with it , she is also very good at colouring , I woudnt go to anyone else !

Shannon has been doing my hair for at least the last 4 years, maybe longer! When she started at Copper Colour Collective, I didn?t even think twice about following her there! She?s a lovely lady and is absolutely brilliant at what she does. I?ve changed colour/style a good few times over the last few years and it always looks incredible! Copper Colour Collective is such a lovely salon I go to see the amazing Shannon to get my hair done. I?ve been going to the lovely Shannon for years now and she always provides the best service. I?m always so happy with the results. I?ve had balayage, highlights and cuts with Shannon and she is so good at what she does.
