THEY DON'T RESPECT CONSUMER RIGHTS LAWS. Don't ever hope to get a refund here. I bought a Kefir drink from the store and went to the cafeteria next door to drink it. Upon opening, I realised the Kefir looked like it had leaked out of the lid, as there was dry residue all over the rim, lid and bottle. I went to return it and the cashier told me that since I had 'opened it outside the store' I could no longer get a refund or replacement. I explained that there was no way that I could have known of the state of the product without opening it, and that I obviously would not be opening and consuming the product 'inside the store'. I noticed about 5 minutes after I purchased it, and the cashier saw me purchasing the product, as he had to correct an accidental double scan. I'm pretty sure this is against consumer rights Law, but no matter how much I argued, the cashier told me it is not possible. The whole situation feels extremely unreasonable, I have been offered returns on items every time in the past in other stores if faulty, and I'm still sure I had a right to a refund in this instance. Safe to say I will not be shopping here again... since I risk loosing money on a item, with no chance of refund, if gone off. Perhaps the employees should be better educated on consumer rights and at the very least, ensuring some level of customer satisfaction and trust.

This is the most terrible shopping experience in my whole life. The bananas are not attached a barcode that can directly be scanned, so you need to search bananas while using self checkout machine. When you search bananas, it will ask the number you want to buy. However, the picture shown in the machine is a bunch of bananas and it will mislead you to believe the whole bunch of bananas count as one. The security guard will not tell you and accuse you stealing bananas after checking out. I pay the university and this store over 30000 pounds and am being suspected stealing 1 pound bananas. The man literally said ?do not make any excuse? even before I am about to say sorry. I am a phd researcher in criminal law; I run my company and I work hard to reduce criminalization and punishment at theoretical level. I never thought be a potential criminal in my university. Ironically, one of the banana turned bad when I got dorm.

Absolutely disgusting exploiting students like this with everything overpriced. Only shop on campus too so they know what they?re doing. Shame on them. People also say the same thing in the shops too when I?m walking around. Sort it out!

Ridiculously high prices and very congested and overcrowded

It?s a shame how this store is on a university campus because the prices are ridiculously high.

Some items are sold at double the price compared to other supermarkets. Many times, the beef I purchased was dark and far from fresh, the ginger was moldy, and I once bought a box of moldy grapes but was refused a refund by the staff. I never expected such poor-quality products from a store with such high sales volume. I really shop here very rarely!

The price of things goes up (I kid you not) every 2 weeks to 1 month. If you start buying a dusty product that no one else buys, you'll see the price go up regularly until you stop buying it.
This co-op is disgustingly expensive and I'd recommend avoiding it.
Nothing is reasonably priced; they shouldn't be on campus.
We should have a more affordable shop catered to students instead.

On top of a near constant shortage of supplies and frequent understaffing, I would assume the level of demand + lack of competition would allow this Coop to provide normal prices despite the higher cost of rent. However, the prices here are so outrageous (In comparison to other stores in town) that I can only assume they are preying on students? lack of choice. Shameful behaviour.

Bad service

The prices at this co-op are criminal, preying on students and especially international students who might have less of an idea about what would be reasonable pricing.
It can't handle peak student capacity either, the place gets so overcrowded sometimes.

Be careful that you are charged the price of the price tags. Sometimes here the prices are different on the checkout than on the shelves. Be aware. Today I tried to buy 1 fizzy drink that attempted to charge me 1.80 while advertised as 1.55, the kind store manager fixed the price for me. This shop may be taking advantage of student carelessness.

Exploiting students as prices are way more inflated than other stores and even other Co-op. It is genuinely more affordable to catch a bus and go to other stores.

The staff at this coop have been nice, almost every time. However, the tiny isles get this a 1 star.
